2023 Ticket Requests/Confirmations Thread

Warehouse confirmations were posted the day before the Citi presale last year, so I expect the same this year. That would be February 13.

We put in for the SC 2fer, MPP, & SPAC. A friend put in for SPAC too, more for us, as they don't travel to NY.

Our expectation is one show in total, two if we're lucky...NONE of which will be SPAC. That people could request for up to 8 tix at SPAC is total BS though, regardless of where the seats are.

Hypothetically, if WH permitted someone to request 4 tickets at all levels, would a 4-ticket request have the same odds of getting confirmed as a 2-ticket request?

the way I look at it is, does Warehouse “get” a grouping of tickets in each and every row of Reserved that is a multiple of 4?

If the answer to that question is yes, then the answer to your question is also yes.

I am so far out of the loop with the warehouse tickets. Does a pending charge guarantee you got confirmed?

fall wasn't extended this year, but this is the first time i can remember summer not having an extended deadline

No. It is likely but not for sure.


I've seen people with pending before get nothing and then pending actually get it. so it's hard to say

I just have the $1 temp charge but nothing pending that would signify true charges for Series 1. I also only put in for SPAC in Series 1 so that probably just means I got smacked down by the WH lol.

SPAC is series 3 so it will be a couple days.

I wouldn't be (yet). I haven't had one and it's about 50/50 across my friends. Sounds like some people entered the card first in the account, some in the request. It could be how your card company handled the pre auth if they did one.

I don't have any charges. And I don't buy for a moment that I got denied 4 different shows on two different credit cards.

I, on the other hand, would not be surprised if we got denied for all 5 shows we put in for AND our friend got denied for the SPAC shows they put in for us.

It seems SC is developing as a hot ticket, SPAC always is, and with no VA shows, MPP is likely to be a harder get too.

That said, Wolf Trap's line-up is already stacked this year and they're still going to be adding some shows...hoping for Nickel Creek and maybe Peter Gabriel (long shot, think he'll stick to arenas, possibly in the fall).

I requested lawn for Hartford and SPAC N1. I don't see getting denied for those (never have before). My other shows are Mansfield (I put Mansfield as my priority) and Irvine.

Nickel Creek would be stellar as would Gabriel. I would travel for either. Just saw Punch Brothers with Bela Fleck in December in Buffalo. Hell of a show.

Okay, yes, you'll def get lawns. I don't see us being to make Mansfield this year, which is a bummer. We were thinking Bangor & Mansfield as nice B2B, but it's not something that works w/ our schedule.

We only missed one Mansfield show since 2018 (not a lot I know, but...) and 2021 had the best set in those 4 yrs. So, I've got some FOMO for Mansfield this yr. But if our not going gets you folks a great show, then you're welcome.

I've been a massive Creek fan since 2001, but only got to see them when they reunited. That show was at Wolf Trap and they were stellar. Then a couple of years later took my oldest w/ me to the American Acoustic tour, with Julian Lage, I'm w/ Her, & the PunchBros...also an incredible show.

Acoustic and/or bluegrass instrumentation has become one of my favorite ways of hearing music, but I actually prefer it not be old time bluegrass. I'm all about Dawg music, new grass, prog grass, etc., but especially what Nickel Creek, the Punch Bros, the Duhks, Sarah Jarosz, and other artists/bands that continue to move the genre forward.

It's part of why I loved the two-set DMB shows. DMB lends itself perfectly to an acoustic setting. I'd argue that it would be the ideal way for them to finish out their career...transition to ALL acoustic shows. I love D&T, but I particularly miss Carter, Fonz, & Jeff...

2022 was pretty awesome, also. In my opinion. But yes, 2021 was an absolute blast in Mansfield. I always look forward to going there. I like that venue.
