Endgame was about half as good as Infinity War, which I actually really liked

Haven't watched WandaVision but saw clips online...not something that really caught my interest at all

Loki I heard was good but I don't have time to watch a show like that

I saw the latest Spiderman in theaters, it was good but it was basically just a confusing nostalgia fest that kind of just existed for its own sake. Will be interesting to see where they take Spidey after the collective mind wipe since the secret identity version of Spidey (and really most heroes) is more compelling and interesting to me rather than having all his friends in on the secret.

If you're being serious, then what's stopping you from diving deep in? I remember when I fell in love with certain bands, just absolutely immersing myself at every free chance I got was a magical feeling. I mean, unless you're already balls deep and are just aching for more.

Have you delved into X-Force yet? Those comics were fucking amazing. I rank them only second to TMNT* in my favourites list. Brutal, darkly funny, really interesting crossover with the X-Men during the X-ecutioner's Song (Cannonball almost bitch slaps Prof. X).

    * (Leo put a katana into Shredder's gut and then told him to kill himself, don't look at me funny)

That be interesting. I assumed they wouldn’t recast:

Marvel Shakes Up ‘Armor Wars’: Don Cheadle Series Now Being Developed As a Movie (Exclusive)
    Quote:
Marvel Studios has shaken up its Armor Wars project, and now what was to have been a series for Disney+ will be redeveloped as a feature film.

The move essentially pushes back the title further down the development slate.

Sources say the studio was committed in getting the story told the right way and in that process realized that a feature was better suited for the project.

Don Cheadle, who is reprising his longtime Marvel Cinematic Universe role as Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes, AKA War Machine, remains on board to star. Yassir Lester, who was acting as head writer on the series, will remain as its feature scribe.

Marvel had been eyeing a 2023 start of production on the series, but the few people who were gearing up for that were notified Thursday of the change of direction. No directors had been officially attached and it is unclear when an Armor Wars feature would pop on Marvel’s timeline of its phases of movies and Disney+ series.

Yeah DMBZep, thanks for being the resident Marvel news poster. I'm only a casual fan (I watch everything now but I barely know anything from the comics) and I don't understand the significance of half the stuff you post or why it should excite me but it's all very informative

No problem. I use twitter for sports and film news. So I try to post the news worthy stuff in here. Plus Ants has more sane people than places like Reddit.

I’m curious who the director will be, but I’m fine with this. I enjoyed Loki more than Multiverse of Madness. But I also know he basically rewrote that entire movie just before shooting once Derrickson left.

‘Avengers: Secret Wars’: Michael Waldron Tapped To Pen Upcoming Installment For Marvel Studios
    Quote:
EXCLUSIVE: Following the success of Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Michael Waldron looks to be in line for another high-profile Marvel property as sources tell Deadline he is set to write Avengers: Secret Wars for Marvel Studios. Deadline recently broke that Jeff Loveness was on board to write Avengers: The Kang Dynasty following the news Destin Daniel Cretton would direct Kang Dynasty for Marvel Studios and now both films have locked up their writers. Insiders add Secret Wars will have its own director though it’s assumed all parties will be in touch while the films are in development. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is producing.

Insiders say meetings for the job took place last month and while a number of writers met, many believed Waldron was the front-runner given how much trust the studio has in the writer. Waldron has been on a roll with the studio over the last year starting with last years smash hit Loki series for Disney+. Waldron served as exec producer and showrunner on the series which was so popular it became one of few Marvel series to receive a second season renewal. That series is currently in production.
