I think for LT59, from the time it showed up on the source code, it took about 2 or 3 weeks after that to be announced. So maybe next week after the 4th.

Looking back, it seems it was 10 days last time. So yeah, next week.

Goddamn. I'm super excited for LT60. Some folks won't buy it, as I and others want '22, but whatever, show looks immaculate.

interesting. I'll definitely buy it because it's from a good era, but I would say we need another summer 95 release as much as we need any post 2004 release (which is, not at all).

No single release outside of the top 20 requested will please everyone, we'll have to accept that now that we are at 60 LTs.

Re: I Know I Know but... Next Live Trax Please

This show is an all-time banger. Yes we need it more than any post-2004 release. It's a missing gap in one of their best tours, and there are songs specific to this show that rule, there's 5 years before birth Raven intro to Typical with a big gap in the AUD recording. Plus the "represented or not" means that you just go through and pick a show from a missing tour, then maybe in 10 years to get around to a second one and let's hope it was picked right. The last 1995 Live Trax at all was over 7 years ago, last Summer release was 10 years ago with LT21 in 2012.

This show is being released due to need, and has been sent on several lists to the band from different sources. It's a series highlight.

Solid pick, but 60 LTs without Winter 2000 is a continued bummer.

Canít complain about that 1995 set though.

100% agree. Iíd say that itís a relatively safe bet that anyone from the snail mail trading/b&p days are beyond pumped for this release

I don't really listen to tapes. Sounds like a great way to become burnt out and bitter about the band. I have all the LTs from '95, the set lists and performances don't change that much for me to listen to them.

I listen to tapes all the time. I'm not burnt out and bitter about the band. You choose your own life experience.

Respectfully agree to disagree here. Tape trading for those nuances from show to show is what built this bands following. I know I am probably an outlier, but through 2010 which is when trading really became a thing of the past, I had every single DMB/D&T show known to exist both on disc to listen and compressed master files for preservation. I listened to every single show as soon as I got my hands on it to and had my faves that I always came back to. And i even found some rare shows previously thought to be lost on tape and helped get those converted for spreading. Like I said, probably an outlier lol. But like Alexis, I am far from burnt out or bitter 26 years into seeing them live.

That all being said, everyoneís entitled to their opinion, but 1995 is one of their finest years. I donít come back to LT 21 or the DMBLive from Spain that much, but every 1995 release is a standout IMO. Each month had its own unique vibe and that is well represented throughout each of the LT, DMBLive and Red Rocks. For anyone on the fence, donít sell this release short. 8/20/95 is a stone cold classic

Re: I Know I Know but... Next Live Trax Please

Nice!! Looking forward to this one! That was a terrific month for the band; up there among the best. Will definitely purchase!

Real quick - why on earth are these preorder periods soooo long, though?! I can't work out why they don't just press a limited run of physical CDs, make that initial run of CDs and the download available right away, and then just order some more CDs if it seems like the initial batch is starting to sell quickly. CD runs need only a couple of weeks for turnaround time, at most. It's not like vinyl where the industry has several months of backlog.

(Note: This is not a complaint; just genuine confusion about the desire to stick with the old formula they had when CDs were the primary way to purchase these. Things have evolved so much since they started this series and I'm willing to bet that the download option is far more popular at this point. Maybe I'm wrong on that, and physical is surprisingly more popular than downloads, or maybe they have a different reason altogether for making the pre-order period more than 6 weeks in this case. Would love to have someone shed some light on that if they know.)

I just realized there is no LT from the summer of 2002. Are there any shows worthy from that tour?

Is there any way to listen to the full Gorge box set from that year?

Not technically Summer, but this show is great. Iíve posted about it before in this thread. I think a couple other people have too. That Watchtower is one of the best.

The 3 nights in Camden from 2002 should be a box set. Or maybe 7/18/02 as LT with bonus trax songs from the 1st two nights.

I'd love to get a Dave and Tim show from 2003. They seemed to be in a pretty adventurous mood for that very brief tour. I was at Boone, the release is great -- but would love to hear more.

Didnt want to make a new thread for this - but somewhere someone had an archive of hi-res Live Trax art? I searched the forum but had no luck... someone may have even had it in their signature. Thanks!
