But that's not the case with this Ants poster... I'm not really sure what you want out of these posters.

Flames sent out an email that had the following explanation for his poster:
"As always, here is the story behind this illustration, with tremendous thanks and influence from the song's lyrics:
Somewhere out there is a small boat, and it's full of love, floating along on a beautiful day. Her key creates an opening on the surface of the water, and his song makes the opening ripple and dance. The opening leads to another world, a world full of new life and beautiful flowers. They reach down and pick up love from the bottom, and they bring it up to the top, everyday. Left to right, up and down, they push up love everyday."
So his take was whimsical, using the key symbolism that has been in other posters he's made over the years. It seems he went too far with the whimsy for most here.
The Ants poster blatantly speaks to the lyrics...no metaphor or simile here.
I don't mind either poster, but I'm less enthused by how on the nose the new poster is...it's lacks nuance and subtlety.
I think a lot us are in that spot where we don't know exactly what we want or expect from these posters, but these first two offerings just aren't it. It's most likely a combination of the chosen songs and the art that isn't really grabbing us.
