Mirthytlizzy,
There are lots of Hotel options around Nationwide Arena. The Hampton is in a slightly better location than Drury for pre/post concert restaurants. It is on the south edge of “The Short North” district which has like 40 bars/restaurants all on the same road (High Street). Everything is walkable too- or take your chances on the motorized scooters that are everywhere.
There are also many restaurants just steps from the entrance to NWA- it’s truly a great environment for pre/post shows & Hockey games.

Coming in from Erie, any hotel recs? I saw the Drury and Hampton were both close and within 1/2 mile and about the middle of the road price-wise. Is one area better over the other for post concert hanging? Or other better places? Thanks!
Renaissance downtown is a good spot too, we had our wedding guests stay there...decent bar inside and it's clean and central. Tip Top bar right near there has great cocktails.

Man didn’t realize they chopped the floor up into sections, that sucks.

There'd a GA pit section and then a few sections of floor seating, which is pretty typical. All seating charts are "chopped up"....What am I missing?

I feel like last time there was a show here the whole floor was GA

You could be right but I've been to several concerts here and the seating chart looks pretty standard. That would be an enormous floor section and probably unmanageable from a security standpoint.

Just got front row side stage, on the far aisle where the band come out - check TM right now. Sat in one of those sections in 2016 and it was great

Damn, this show doesn't appear to be selling very well so far. They don't have a good record of ticket sales in Columbus, post-Polaris Amphitheater, with the exception of the sold-out Huntington Park show in 2010.

Why not just make the upper level tickets $20-30? Wouldn't it be better to have some asses in the seats?

    It’ll be fine. It’s a Friday night and they’ll have a solid walk up. If it’s 85-90% sold then it’s a real good night for a one-off

I bit the bullet and just bought tickets, but I didn't go out of my way. I got the best of the $95 tier i could find, which wasn't bad (103, Row S). I'm glad the show doesn't interfere with the Buckeyes schedule (may help with attendance). Also, yesterday's CDC announcements may have scared some people off (I think every show will go on as scheduled though, the genie is out of the bottle).

I think they all will go on as well but arena shows, with the exception of places like JPJ in Charlottesville and MSG, aren’t fast selling for them. I’ve been to a handful and I think only one was sold out from what I saw by looking up into the upper level

I’m actually not going to buy tickets until closer to showtime, when I know for sure the show will happen. Who knows what things will look like in November?

Yea, theres a ton of tix available still, even the back floor sections for face. This wont be a hard ticket. I only wanted to get GA because some other people might decide to go with us closer to show time, but at this point theres no reason to buy the tix with so much lower bowl available.

Covid concerns aside, slow sales could also be contributed to the fact that every artist has released fall dates in like the past 45 days. I have probably spent more money on tickets in the past 2 months than i have in most years. I was planning to wait, but i saw decent tickets available and wanted to get childcare/everything else lined up ahead of time.

I can' relate - tickets, hotels, AirBNB's, gas prices, etc. Been an expensive last couple months, but after a year of sitting in my dining room working alone, I don't care anymore. I was elated to have a fifth show to add that I wasn't expecting. I'm excited.

I'm in the same boat. This is the first year ever, that i will see 4 shows (not a lot by a lot of Ants standards, but I normally hit Blossom and Starlake and call it a year). Very excited for concerts to be back.

I think I had 5 in 2019, but I'm very much like you - usually Star Lake, Blossom, maybe mix in a third that's drive-able, like Bristow. But 2019 I got 3 @ the Gorge, so that helped. This year, adding SPAC. I'm just so excited to see some live music. 25 days to Star Lake for me.

Very nice! My brother used to live in the Washington DC area, so we did Bristow once and the C'Ville 25th anniversary show, but he's back in Ohio, so our jumping off point isn't as big as it used to be. I threw in Deer Creek N2 this year as my bonus show.

Awesome - haven't been to Deer Creek yet - I went to C'Ville during the winter tour in 2018. JPJ is like seeing a show in a high school gym - so cool and intimate.

    Hey all,
Never been to columbus show and looking to make the trip from pittsburgh this year, but missed out on PITs. If anyone has 2 PITs and has changed their mind or just wants to get rid of them, please message me.

Not exactly sure what you mean by "leads" but it's a nice hotel and it's very close to the venue. Couple of good restaurants nearby too. Would be a good spot to be if you're planning on coming into town.

I guess I meant "info" hahahah. And you've given me exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! Booked. Seems like a solid option, close with a place to grab pre and post show cold ones! Thanks!

My guess is September 13. They are holding a lottery for MSG and Columbus shows to opt in for pit tickets if you have lower reserved. At least that is the date the lottery winners will know per Warehouse email.
