Dealing with unresponsive/lazy/unorganized coworkers. The main partner I work with on like 90% of my cases is just impossible to reach. We are very litigation heavy and have a lot of deadlines, both with the court and with our clients (we're supposed to send monthly or bi-monthly updates). I'm doing my job in getting things to him for approval before sending out, but I'm still waiting to hear back from him on stuff I sent like 4-5 months ago. I've tried taking the approach of "well, I'm doing my job so this delay is on him," but it still makes our office look horrible and it's really stressful trying to keep clients at bay while my partner gets his shit together. Even with regular follow-up/reminder e-mails he still doesn't get stuff back to me.

Part of me feels bad because it's very clear he's totally underwater and unable to keep up with the amount of work he has, so it's more of an issue with the firm than it is with him individually. Like, we desperately need another partner or two in our office to handle this case load, but he is either unwilling to admit it or doesn't care enough to approach the managing partners about it.

Like I said, I let my wife handle the washer and dryer thing. When they told us the shit was too corroded I wasn’t gonna fuck around with it. Once I found out they weren’t too corroded I just let dude install them since he had a dolly and everything and I’m working.

To be fair, he said they told him the pipe was corroded, not the hose. So something inside the wall would be my guess.

They likely saw a little bit of limescale on the connectors and said 'welp, fuck this... we out'.

Took my car into the mechanic this morning because the A/C decided to stop working. Had Enterprise come pick me up because I get a "shop rate" through the mechanic. Sadly, all Enterprise had was two Nissan Versas and some Hyundai compact car. Wanted something bigger and they didn't have anything. I can manage to squeeze my 6ft ass into the vehicle, but I bang my head doing it. The sight lines out of the windshield suck to. I just want my 2012 Escape back.

True. When I bought a fridge through Costco a few years ago, the guys didn't want to hook up the water line because, I forget, the tube or pipe looked crimped and wouldn't work or something stupid. I ended up fixing it myself which wasn't a big deal. I think I cut off the bad end and there was enough extra to still be fine.

Too big of a generalization for me Usey.

I’ve been to a lot of concerts lately and everyone was awesome to each other.

I’ve seen anonymous people help fundraisers meet their goals of helping people in need.

I’ve seen my fellow volunteers give their time and effort to help people they don’t know.

More people might actually be helping and caring for other humans more today than at any other time. I think you need to look in a few other places assuming your comment comes from the news and politics or a few Kevin’s and Karen’s you’ve witnessed.

I mean, it's petty and attention seeking to be irritated at this, but at the end of the day, I still feel it, so it's worth acknowledging.
