This seems pretty right. I don’t think labeling hospitals - particularly those in rural areas and rust-belt type states - as monopolies really fits. They may have natural monopolistic traits (lack of regional competition), but I really don’t know what the alternative is given that there’s already a huge lack of hospitals in too many areas of the country; and it’s not due to getting stomped by bigger options, it’s due to lack of resources for those who would otherwise utilize their services.

If a few can’t make it, it’s probably not worth holding the conference anyways. It’s our annual finance meeting, and would be our first since 2019. We were supposed to do Croatia last year…super pissed about that getting disrupted and not trying to do it again this year.
