Well if you have no luck finding reserved and still need lawn tickets, do me a solid and buy mine (livenation tix)--I now have lawn and reserved after buying instants yesterday and need to unload the lawn.

That's what the new 2021 Warehouse Instants Guidelines stated, and i think also in the Instants e-mail yesterday. A thread was started on the WH boards, and 2 admins jumped in and corrected it; they will be first come first serve as usual

ISO a Raleigh pit ticket and Charlotte pit ticket. I scored Wrigley Field Dead & Co. Pit tix for Friday, Sept 17th and Saturday, Sept 18th if anyone wants to trade. I cashed in miles for airfare, rental car, and hotel for the NC trip. Would love to be front and center. PM if interested. #BobWeir

Alright we said f it and jumped on these two shows too. Hoping for a great tailgate at Raleigh. Kicking concert season off with DMB Raleigh/Charlotte, Phish Oak Mountain/Alpharetta x2 the next weekend, then up to Chicago for the northerly island DMB shows.

I read on the venue’s site that the lots open an hour before showtime. For those who have been here before, is that accurate or is that pretty loose? I’ve had other venues list a time and open earlier than they say but haven’t seen it be so close to showtime at other places.

An hour before gates, maybe? There is zero chance they open the lots only an hour before show.

It seemed odd and next to impossible so that’s why I was asking others’ experiences from previous shows.

Appears your interpretation was correct! That's just about logistically impossible to pull off. Never been to Raleigh myself, but I'm betting they open up the lots well before 1 hour to showtime.

I've been to Charlotte 11 times and the latest I ever saw them open the lots was 4pm. Seems more often they will usually open up at least one of the lots around 2-3pm. Been to Raleigh 4 times but it's been awhile, think about the same, but can't remember. I'm also not sure what to expect with some of the earliest full scale concerts in the state being these venues, kinda trying to stay prepared for whatever, but in a normal year, 2 or 3 is par for the course.

I'll be so glad to see everyone again next month! Charlotte lots open later than usual, unless you buy a tailgating parking pass - then you can get into the lot at 2pm. The tailgating parking pass also allows you to park up against the shaded tree-line - which made a huge difference two years ago. I'll be in the upper corner of the lot - straight across from where the entrance to the tailgating lot is if anyone wants to join us! I'll have the Firedancer flag flying!

Best bar/restaurant to hang out before the show if not tailgating in Charlotte? I know there's not much near the venue, so taking an Uber there would be fine.

The venue is a stones throw from the UNC Charlotte campus, over near there you'll find Armored Cow Brewing which I would recommend, there is also Boardwalk Billy's if looking for a bar scene, and then also Flying Saucer which has a large number of beers to choose from. Not much else worth mentioning.

I'm curious about this too. I've never been to Walnut Creek and there seem to be a lot of "parking is a nightmare" posts. Would love to avoid sitting in the lot for hours to leave but obviously that's better than getting stranded if you can't get an uber.

I'm also interested in rideshare feedback for Raleigh. My last trip out there was prior to uber/lyft being ubiquitous, but I'm pretty sure the amphitheater is still out in the middle of nowhere. Remote location, this being the one of the first events there in a year and rides being high everyone I feel like there is no good answer to be found.

Sounds like Ubers could be tough. Would anybody be interested in maybe getting a party bus together from one of the area hotels? With enough people it can sometimes be just as good as an uber.

Heads up for anyone flying in to Raleigh and renting a car. Costco travel prices just dropped by at least $20 on rental cars. At least the price is coming down and you can rebook whenever it drops.
