Well, children can't get vaccinated yet, so that's something to consider.

I went through a short EDM phase living in NJ back in 2013. I'm embarrassed, but it was a fun summer.

100%. Just pointing out that the companies, bands, teams, etc still may be looking at the idea that kids can't vaccinated as an issue.

Unless there is a company/event requiring vaccine to enter children pose no issue. If they do require that they can require a mask for kids under X age.

I guess headlines are deceiving. there's of course a lot of bullet points and rules, still. also weird.

looks like all of the tristate is pushing for full removal of restrictions by July 1.

I understand you're pointing it out, but I am pointing out that the entertainment industry isn't postponing any upcoming or future tours/ shows because of this lol.

Just as an example of what it might be like, I went to the Jamey Johnson concert at Avondale Brewing in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago. It was an acoustic show. There were tables that sat up to 8 people and your party sat at your own table, even if you had less than 8. They made you put a mask on when you came in and they scanned your ticket. The policy was that you left it on until you got to your table and you were supposed to put it back on if you went to the restroom or to get food/beer. In practice, almost no one kept it on after they had their tickets scanned and walked in the gate. There were a few staff members who would ask people to put them on when they saw them without one on, but most didn't care. It was an outdoor show, for what that's worth.

Also, inside the brewery, which was separated from the stage area outside a couple of hours before the show, it was business as usual. I got there about 90 minutes early and people were hanging out in the brewery with no masks or any other "protocols."

Thankfully it’s opening up more. Our oldest two (12 and 14) will be able to get vaccinated next week when FDA opens up the Pfizer one.

Now we just need something for the youngest three

I’m assuming that liability is being removed from bands and venues as they wouldn’t risk this if there was a hint of a chance of someone suing for wrongful death due to contracting Covid at a show.

I don’t think that’s ever been a risk for bands. But otherwise, yes, probably.

I just went to a Govt Mule show at an actual music venue this weekend
See last 30 seconds of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO1IMbfruYk

They had limited capacity of 1,000ish people. You had to have your mask on in the concourse but could take it off at your seat. There were a few people in the concourse that had their mask off to sip a drink and ushers advised them to go to their seat to take their mask off. Ultimately with 100% capacity for larger live nation venues there is no way they are going to be able to enforce mask mandates. Obviously the country overall is moving toward lifting mask mandates for venues but enforcement will be impossible at full capacity.

Cuomo just announced that starting May 19, outdoor stadiums will be 100% capacity for vaccinated people and 33% for unvaccinated. Not sure how they’ll work that all out, but it bodes well for the tour.

Also Broadway coming back at 100% capacity in September.

Yup got one of the last ones on Sunday. A nice surprise to get a Sperry announced 24 hours before the 3 show weekend. I missed out in line for the Gorge Sperry in 2019 so this was a nice make up +1.

Also Broadway coming back at 100% capacity in September.
This must be why Trey Anastasio SPAC shows in June are set in socially distant pods. I have more hope that by the SPAC DMB shows they will have full capacity vaxed or unvaxed given the Broadway Sept 14 100% capacity start date. Those theatres are pretty tight and have limited airflow so if that is cleared by June Spac should be good too in the same month.

There should be no liability and a wrongful death claim because someone chose to attend an event should be laughed out of court.

It would be negligent to mandate people to get vaccinations a few months from now when the 2021 tour was re announced with no specific rules.

Overall I think a good chunk of this tour will be fine outside of the NY shows and Washington Shows.

NY already has a vaccine passport app. You can’t effectively use it if you’re out of state but otherwise you would have to show other form of negative test/vax.
