In a car it would be pointless, but you're right that in a 50k SUV it's a nice feature to have.

    I still use the head turn method when backing into a parking spot, even with the rear camera. I'm kind of a big deal like that.

    How essential do rear cameras become after getting accustomed to them? People that have them really seem to like them. It feels weird backing up without turning your head to me.

    We had a jeep cherokee before with just a backup camera and I didn't use it much. 360 camera was a game changer though.

    Sort of camera-adjacent, but one thing I like about my Traverse are the sensors. For example, if I'm backing out of a parking spot but can't really see to my right or left, an alert will sound if a car is coming from either direction.

    Would you guys trust a self-driving car? It would be a huge adjustment, and even if it were proven to be safer I'd still have trouble letting go of the wheel. It might take a few iterations of self-driving cars before I felt comfortable

    I was driving to the shore two weeks ago and on the AC expressway I pulled up to a tesla and the guy was eating a hoagie and the car was just doing it's thing.



    I trust a self-driving car, I don't trust the other idiots that aren't.
