Cold and very windy. Only time I remember rain was set up on N0 2016 if I recall. Rained for about an hour.

Can’t speak for the front row but I had 203 row 10 last year and sound and view of the stage was great but like people have said the people coming and going and the chairs getting in the way is a bit of a pain in the ass.

You’re right. They played a very quick Shake Me encore and Dave and Carter kept looking up at the lights like we gotta get outta here!

So if the front row of those sections is no bueno, what's everyones favorite spots when it comes to seats? I'm not sure I'd mind the foot traffic as I want to be free to come and go the last night of the Gorge shows, so I thought it'd be a great seat to get back and fourth from without bothering too many people.

It’s essentially having people less than a foot from you standing, walking and talking the whole show. If that doesn’t sound like a big deal then go for it.

Best spot is 102 row 20. Dead center and exactly at eye level with the band.

Those are tough to get so anything in 203 rows 2-10 is great.

I've sat in this area before and it does get distracting as it's hard not to be perpetually people watching everyone passing by. It can lead to some an entertaining encounters, but if you're just there for the music you won't enjoy it.

However, if you drink and pee a lot it's hard to beat the easy trips to the concession area.

if you institute the optimal pee schedule prior to the show you shouldn't have to go more than 1 time during the show.

This is what I do. Rarely go more than once and have even gotten away with zero bathroom breaks on several occasions. My wife is another story....

Gold camping is right by the entrance gates, and also next door to the winery for some lovely day-drinking with an incredible view. There's not as much of a party atmosphere in Gold, but there can be some extra noise from RV generators. There's a little convenience store walking distance (by the road) to get ice, but most other concessions are a bit of a walk away.

If you like to camp where the action is (or near the Pivot where all the campground food trucks are) then General, Premier, or Terrace is the way to go (if you can even still get tickets for Premier or Terrace). There are buses for Terrace and Premier to get to/from the venue, but for everyone else its a solid mile hike to get to the venue. I used to LOVE the camaraderie of the walk back when my feet could handle three days of it. Now not so much.

I personally go for Gold due to the quick walk back to camp after the shows, so IMO this is probably a good thing.

Neither, really. It’s just a diff spot. Gold camping is closer to the venue so some people might say it’s better.

The ‘action’ is almost non existent anymore as the fan base ages. I was surprised by how quiet it was in premier in 2018 and 2019 - basically everyone went to bed after the show.

Standard might be a diff story but pretty sure the median age is 38 for this event

My definition of action is more related to late-night spicy pie, which, to be honest, I'm still willing to hike over for at least one time during the weekend. I think we're all turning into olds, but I'm here for it.

Yeah, my action post show is chugging water and downing a few Advil... that’s about it for me these days. I might stroll over for a pizza at most.

Last year (2019) we brought one of those little kiddie-pools for camp, and soaking our feet after the show was transcendent. Best camp accessory ever.

    neither.

everyone's pretty well explained it already.

closest spot to the gates, but far from the main campgrounds and food trucks.

I think if you're choosing to do easy camping, it's for more important reasons than either of those two factors.

every so often there's some late night fun.

our group is always up late after the shows. maybe dont rage every night, but definitely up playing music and drinking for a few hours.

the late night adventures into D9 aren't a nightly thing anymore, that has changed.

Indeed. They were good times, but I’m happy to go to bed right after the show these days. Don’t have the energy or the interest to ‘party’. I’m all for a great convo and beers, but don’t need to butt chug natty ice on top of a RV at 2am anymore.
