Gold camping is right by the entrance gates, and also next door to the winery for some lovely day-drinking with an incredible view. There's not as much of a party atmosphere in Gold, but there can be some extra noise from RV generators. There's a little convenience store walking distance (by the road) to get ice, but most other concessions are a bit of a walk away.
If you like to camp where the action is (or near the Pivot where all the campground food trucks are) then General, Premier, or Terrace is the way to go (if you can even still get tickets for Premier or Terrace). There are buses for Terrace and Premier to get to/from the venue, but for everyone else its a solid mile hike to get to the venue. I used to LOVE the camaraderie of the walk back when my feet could handle three days of it. Now not so much.
I personally go for Gold due to the quick walk back to camp after the shows, so IMO this is probably a good thing.
