Found that Matt Swider guy early March, took a few minutes looking through his stuff to see how it works. Subscribed and turned on alerts. Ended up getting my series x a few days later on my first attempt. That was March 18 and it is just now scheduled to be delivered today from Walmart. If you’re serious about getting one I’d say subscribe to Swider or one of those guys and roll the dice

No dice on Target drop today. But I had learned that Target does in-store pickup, so you could literally go drive and get it same day as your order. So that would have been cool, but alas, not to be. Perhaps Best Buy tomorrow.

From my experience the in store drop ones are harder to secure online because of the limited number available, and the page that shows the ones in your area didnt really update in real time.

Can someone give me the cliff notes on the systems head to head? I really have paid as close of attention this release cycle. I've bounced back and forth in the past. Mainly switched to PS3 because of the exclusives like The Show and Uncharted.

I don’t think there’s a huge difference between the two performance wise although I believes the Series X is slightly more powerful. Really comes down to exclusive content and subscription services. Sony exclusives vs. GamePass. Gamepass doesn’t have many exclusives at this point but Microsoft is unloading money on studio acquisitions so in a few years I think game pass will be a must own. Good thing about it too is game pass is available on PC although the offering is different than what’s on console. You can get gamepass ultimate for $15 a month and have both PC and Xbox Game Pass if you already have a PC.

At this point I don’t think there are any exclusives coming soon to PS to warrant a purchase of a PS5 in the near future

Thanks. I've been PC gaming for the past three years and have recently been thinking that it might be a better move to go Xbox with that being the case.

I've completely lost track of exclusives, so it probably doesn't matter to me. But what are some examples?

For Sony: God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Spider Man, Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone, Last of Us etc.. All are very solid titles but I think only Horizon is supposed to have a new game this year.

If you like MLB The Show it’s coming to GamePass on April 20th but only on the Xbox game pass not PC. It will be $70 on PS5.

God of War and Horizon both coming out this year.

The first Horizon was easily a top 5 game I’ve ever played.

The slow drip of availability is just letting the bots have a field day every time it happens and the people who want one are getting fucked.

Just hold the inventory until it’s sufficient to meet demand and enough playing this game of drops.

It’s completely turned me off to wanting either of these consoles at this point. Sony and Microsoft and all the retailers can pound sand.

They are essentially enriching scalpers, that's what they are doing.

If you actually go to eBay to take a look, it is disgusting how many $1000+ consoles are available. And these people dip all day and scalp it out.

The only Uncharted I didn't play was the spinoff one with the two females, I'll have to play that at some point. The rest were great, especially the last one #4.

Not sure what direction they would go, the teen daughter grown up and now on her own adventures? That would be cool, especially if old Dad got wind and dropped in on a mission like Sully.

I didn't play that one either (the spinoff).

I think with how well the writing was in that franchise there's a number of different directions they could go to milk more out of the franchise. They built up a pretty strong foundation of backstory. For example, they could also go the route of following Sam and Sully. Or, honestly, I don't think it'd be to far-fetched for Nathan to come out of "retirement."
