Re: I Know I Know but... Next Live Trax Please

We need so much more 2013. I would buy any show from that tour.

I know right. Just two. There was a four year gap between the two.
    2001, 2002 & 2003 are also years that are missing A TON.

The entire site collectively said they would buy any '98 fall show. There was only a luke warm reception after LT53 was announced.

Not it. I'm a fan of 98, but I feel like we have enough from 98 already. This is the 5th full show released from '98. The songs haven't really begun to evolve yet. I would have much rather the first night of Red Rocks '98 be released then what LT 53 is. I ordered it though cause I buy all of them. '99 only has two full band shows...'03 only has two...'06 has three...and '12 still has yet for a full band show...holding out for Alpine box set. 2007 and 2008 should be put on break for years unless they release the Hollywood Bowl '07 shows. At this point, I like the suspense of it, but the shows seem to be so random at this point. At least they keep them coming. Better than no shows being released at all.

1999-2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 are all overdue to be released. 2001, 02 & 03 are years where we have one release that's a Live Trax & one that's a general release and there was a gap of ten or more years between each of the two.

Personally speaking, the other Winter '98 shows we already have are better than LT53 (including that DMBLive one). I think there would a lot more interest in Spring or Summer '98 at this point.

I think the most intriguing aspect of LT 53 is the lineup. It’s just the original 5 + Tim. No Butch or additional guests. All of the ‘98 releases so far have been fantastic, but they all feature guests. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the guests, but this show will be a more straightforward look into ‘98 DMB. I’m definitely excited for it.

Re: I Know I Know but... Next Live Trax Please

I wish they would do another early live trax that includes an unreleased soundcheck song like they did for Live Trax 33. Or even just famous shows that people obviously want, like the big league chew show for example that's unique enough to get people excited. I also wish the Warehouse 10 cd's had more rarities on them like the time they put people people. Basically I just wish they would dig a little deeper every now and again. DMB Live 25 did this well with additions like Break for it, Doobie Thing, Falling off the roof, etc. I know theres a finite number of unreleased music/rarities/unique performances and spreading them out over time probably makes more sense business wise but I just wish they would throw us a bone a little more often than they do. That being said, I'm buying this next show for sure cuz anything from 1998 is dope.

I'd much rather they not release a show we have a soundboard recording of (like big league chew)

I'm part of the hypocrisy of that (kind of). I bought LT53 and am confident it will be great, but I will admit I would have liked more BTCS on it. Namely those songs that have fewer releases.

As for 2013 though, there are also a few shows on that tour that would make me feel comparably unenthusiastic setlist-wise. You're right.

    Still. Give me more 2013

I think the luke warm reception was because a lot of us want to see Spring/Summer 98. The set for LT53 isn't anything special but there's not a bad song on it and it's apparently the best played show from that tour. I have a feeling it's going to be similar to LT38, SPAC '96, a show that's super underrated around here.

I didn't preorder but will purchase eventually. As for the thread topic, I'd like some more Spring 2002, Spring/Summer 1998, and the Dallas 2000 shows.

I asked a little bit ago and the consensus was that they keep it pretty close to the chest. I then threatened to break into Red Light Management (after COVID) because I work in the building... i was subsequently arrested for conspiring against Coran Capshaw

Since we are on a roll recently with random shows from obscure venues/states, why not this one from 1999? And the setlist kicks ass.

Would buy in an instant, this was my 19th birthday. I wasn't there but having a show played on your birthday would be fun. For me at least.

Absolutely, my birthday is in January and they have played a few shows on it, but not since the early 90s.

Not a full band show, but Iowa does have Luther College. As for Minnesota, I think this set looks amazing:

    7.9.2003 - Target Center - Minneapolis, MN

I've been hoping for Tinely Park 7.3.03 for years, but this show would be an instant buy for me as well. such a unique setlist with the Warehouse > Nancies reversal and SMTS > ASTB > Stay. then theres gems like YNK (which was released on the CP Live At disc), Last Stop, Cry Freedom and Dreaming Tree.... wow. I also quite like FTT when Dave plays it on acoustic

Ah yes. At my last trip to the record store I acquired Luther college. If they released Minneapolis 2003 I’d consider that one - been to some good stuff at that venue. 2003 & 2005 are a couple years that are BADLY BADLY BADLY overlooked. There was a whole decade between Central Park and live trax 26. The only thing released from 2005 is the red rocks box set. We’ve nothing from November/December 2005.

You know what we need from 2005? An Australian show. Like this one from Sydney, 3.27.2005

Listen to the first few seconds of Pig. Boyd automatically disqualifies it, haha. Set may be great, but if the performances are crap they aren’t considered.

I was listening to 9/13/00, it has both a really good set and great performances by Boyd and Bela-

Indeed, rough stuff there plus it is a good sounding tape.

For the LT series, no, but Austin '96 was a DMBLive. There are lot of people clamoring for both nights of Dallas 2000 to be released and I'm fully on board.

Has there ever been any mumblings from people in the know about the possibility of a release?

Maybe someday. I've been collecting the late 2005 concerts & would love to see something from late 2005 too.

Re: I Know I Know but... Next Live Trax Please

I'm stealing this conversation a bit from the potential new album thread; however, would like to see either of these shows released

    http://dmbalmanac.com/TourShowSet.as...=83&where=2005
    http://dmbalmanac.com/TourShowSet.as...=83&where=2005

preferably night 2, with a bonus disc (or filler disc) that includes a bunch of the Krazno appearances from N1 and also the soundcheck song from 8.11.05
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBh4...annel=celebi23

Do I think this is possible? Hardly. But we have a soundcheck performance so i'm saying........... maybe there's a chance
