I'm not sure that's everyone in the band. I was told years ago when I asked why only Dave does democratic functions and not full band and was told Carter and dave do not have the same political affiliation.

The band did the Vote For Change tour in 2004.

Yeah I know. It was something I was told a few years ago maybe in 2011 or 2012.

Considering Carter gave Obama $20k (through various funds) and the DNC $10k in 2012, I'm thinking this is complete BS.

Such a good song. Loved everything about that performance, including the use of nylon string instead of a steel string.

While not being some crazy John Legend show of vocal runs like earlier in the show, the tone of his voice was perfect

I'd doubt it, it's DMB community - should be up on YouTube and available for DL in no time

This is definitely not true in any way shape or form haha - the Obamas hosted a fundraiser at his house in 2012 (although he wasn't present - but couldn't imagine he would host them at his home without supporting them).

You could say that about any great band and their fans. I think that it is fairly well known that celebrities live in somewhat of a fantasy, unrealistic world. Regardless, I would never let my political leanings take away my love for dmb’s music. It may turn me off in a song or two, or make me cringe when an artist goes on a political rant in between songs, but it won’t ruin the band for me. Music can be an escape for people. I’m a conservative but will always love dmb. It pains me to imagine that those out destroying Portland right now may very well be the same people I’ve shared dmb concerts with... but music brings all types together

Also, the whole band did those Vote for Change shows in 2004

    Which were ostensibly pro-Kerry rallies

Yeah, I suppose you're right... I'm sure some of those DHS agents do listen to DMB

I, too, wonder how many of those DHS agents are DMB fans. I assume the Erik Prince mercenaries are more of the Imagine Dragon crowd, though.

Has Dave played that nylon string before? It sounded wonderful.

I love that tune. I really would love to get a studio version.

Also, Dave is rockin' a pretty nice turntable there. Wonderful if he would like to have a nice all analog cut of BTCS playing on it...

People who were casual DMB fans 10-20 years ago probably make up a good portion of the Imagine Dragons fanbase

Well said. I have really good friends on opposite ends of the political world and DMB and cold beers is something we can always agree on and enjoy together. Fans suggesting conservatives shouldn’t be DMB fans is concerning. I think the fact DMB’s music can bring people together regardless of political views is exactly what it’s supposed to do.

We noticed that this was either a different location/room or very different angle than we've seen Dave play from home before. I wonder if it was even one of his properties which makes me wonder if it's even his guitar...

The only Breedlove nylon currently available is a relatively inexpensive Chinese-made model. Not that Dave can't have one or wouldn't like one, but he's been playing very high-end guitars for the better part of his career. I'd think he'd have Taylor or Martin nylon for himself.

The only Breedlove nylon currently available is a relatively inexpensive Chinese-made model. Not that Dave can't have one or wouldn't like one, but he's been playing very high-end guitars for the better part of his career. I'd think he'd have Taylor or Martin nylon for himself.
Very well could be a different location and someone else's guitar.

Sounded wonderful on the nylon though!
