Haha, well I was being technical and including the LS show since it would’ve been aired if not for all the rioting. So yea, like I said in my other post, other than those first 2 weeks, they were alternating.

I just view it as there will be shows I really enjoy and shows I'm not as into, both old and new, if I'm not feeling it there are other things to do each night. I don't feel the need to continue saying how it's all garbage and not real DMB every single week / day, it's not something I get all bent out of shape about.

I like the '18 a-hole over the '01 fallopian tubes
Just watched 11/5/10. Solid, but I wouldnt say by a mile.

The best pre-Tim version is Piedmont. Dave's wailing is great. Would love to hear other's favorite YMDT

SPAC 6/13/2009 might be my favorite unreleased YMDT. Def check it out if you haven’t yet. Dave’s outro/scat lyrics are amazing.

YMDT was good only in ‘08. It has sucked ass every other year. Was boring as hell before that. And after 08 or 09, Dave started unintelligibly babbling and scatting on it and it fucking blows.

The “if you give...” part building in intensity in 08 was great. Don’t know why Dave felt the need to have a stroke at the end of every performance of it since then.

I don't think I've heard his full story about how Eh Hee came to be before seeing this, I don't have the DVD so maybe that's why.

LT 13 YMDT is the best version period. Every one is nearly perfect and Roi absolutely slays.

It's not like putting it on YouTube is going to cut into their own sales, which I expect LT25 & LT26 are likely to experience. I mean, who's going to pay for audio of 5-30-06 now that you can just stream video of the show for free?

Maybe it's not an amazing show, but it is free, so perhaps the price is right?

It's kinda interesting that this incident clearly influenced the Volcano Man in Dave's If We Were Giants book. Our nine year-old picked up on the connection while we were listening.

The older Live trax aren't going to see much new revenue period from direct CD/Digital purchases. So playing the 06 Missouri show isn't hurting profits from it. Especially since if a passive or new fan heard it on the drive in they may be curious to then dive into spotify or apple music and stream other old school dmb shows which generate revenue anyways.

The drive in is suppose to raise awareness for great causes. The greatest viewership hype/interaction was the 2006 show because ppl wanted to see video of an old school show. If the band wants more awareness and donations for causes playing a bunch of 19 or 18 shows isn't going to do that. Many people i know stopped tuning into the newer shows unless it was a show they attended.

The band should sacrifice it's old content/potential profits for the good of raising money/awareness for charity. But they are cheap and lazy and hoard good content and don't wanna give anything good away for free.

Sure, but you could rip the audio from the YouTube stream (or just download Chadizzy's MP3s) and put that on your phone or other devices and still listen to it for free. My point is there's not much incentive to pay for just the audio if you're willing to do a little extra work.

Agreed on the bold. It's not like they don't already make millions of dollars from live releases anyway, and it would probably generate some good PR for the band if they did give away primo content for a charitable cause, so it's not like it would be a huge loss for them.

LT 25 and 26 were released years ago. Do you honestly think putting these shows on Youtube takes away from potential sales? There's likely no market left for these shows. I would bet 95% of sales in live trax series are within the first couple of weeks of the respective show's release date.

The only way to recreate a market for these shows would be to introduce vinyl.

Would also love trax 7 on a Wednesday since Bela, future man, and Wooten are guests. Wooten is so tremendous to listen to on that show.
