The Return of Dreaming Tree 2020???

Does anyone think we would be getting Dreaming Tree in rotation this year? I think because of the Nature Conservancy & planting a millions trees it would make sense but you know it's Dave so who knows!!

I don't care for the notion of any DMB song being rare or too precious to be played often and regularly. Don't care for it from the fans or the band.

A masterpiece like Dreaming Tree should be considered for play once during every two night stand, but YES! all the more so during this tour. Take it further, play it nightly (at single shows, once at multi-nighters) this year and have a few thousand saplings to give away at each show. Make it a centerpiece of the night and let the band have fun with it...switch up the featured soloists each night, have it be a spot to feature guests...

As the band said to Dave about Death On the High Seas..."play that shit!"

It was teased in 2002 and they played it several times in 2003. One can hope right?

I think 1.5 is fair. Spoon got a single play last year.

2 of the 4 plays in '15 were with Bela, I wouldn't be shocked to see it played at the Gorge. Otherwise, its not likely.

The real question is - Can Bela Fleck please come out and play on Spoon at the Gorge this year? Seriously... we already have 31 versions of him on DDTW and LIOG and 26 on Ants and 25 on Crash. There is only one version from 1998 where he played on Spoon. Maybe we try that again...

I still guess that Dreaming Tree was the scratched off song on the handwritten WPB N2 2019 setlist. Ha.

It's the main song I am chasing. Would love to see it.

This DT with Bela Fleck is incredible. What I like is how it's the TD, not played in ages, and Dave doesn't even have to look at the teleprompter for the words. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=darGAcMKwEw

Really hope so - it got teased last year so there's hope. Always been a favorite. The last time the song got a ton of love was back in 2012. That's part of the reason I love a lot of those Fall 2012 shows. Between Gorge N3 2012 & the CA run DT was performed at 4 out of 5 shows.

Pick a random Tuesday show after a dud of a Saturday night sold-out show. That'll be #1. My guess, they lay an egg in Chicago N2 and then play it in Grand Rapids, MI.

Then It'll get played at Burgettstown and again the following weekend at SPAC.

Then it'll disappear for the remainder of the tour, and get played Gorge N2 and in Durant fucking Oklahoma.

i was there it was a good version Dave forgot the wailing outro but any Dreaming Tree is better than Jimi Thing, they should practice Dreaming Tree more and totally scrap Jimi and play Dreaming Tree instead.

I LOVE Jimi Thing as a song, but I'm completely on board for this. We've gotten JT at half of our shows...I don't need to hear it again for a while. Never gotten DT live and would love to hear it.

Nailed it. That's why I follow them around, you have to have some epic stuff happen mid week at the other shows.
