I wonder if she's the one that was on the rail at the Gorge in 2016 and shit herself but refused to leave.

It's really a shame they dont take more risks and explore more of the catalog...because they sound fucking amazing.

Couldn't agree more. That sounded pretty f'ing good. A few hiccups maybe, but otherwise good.

This, so much this. The band is better than it's been in over a decade sonically. It's a shame they are risk averse.

it sounds okay, but i've never been a fan of the rockbridge 12 string. sounds flat and empty compared to the w65. that being said, buddy adds nothing to the song, actually takes away from it, IMO.

thanks for sharing, though. haven't paid much of any attention to the sets in detail

Wonder if it’s the people holding up the Portugal flag in all of Jeff’s IG pics.

There’s a couple on the rail holding up a Portugal and Italy flag in Jeff’s pics of the crowd each night. All I can think about is how annoyed I’d be if I was behind them and they blocked me out of the pic with that dumb flag.

It's cute that you think they would care lol. Seriously, when Dave speaks of entitlement, these are the folks he's referring to.

Can’t get enough! Really hoping to see tunes like Anyone Seen The Bridge and Sugar Will come back with fresh arrangements with Buddy in mind this summer.

Re: General Discussion on Setlists as a Whole This Year

A few minor tweaks to yesterday's set could have made it a really special show. Instead it's a run of the mill +4 for me.

    Bayou for Seek Up
    Stand Up for Warehouse
    Funny for Granny
    Jimi for #41

    Those 4 song changes take this from a +4 to a +12

These sets aren't far off from being so much better, but in that same line of thinking, we are miles away from actually getting sets that looks like this one with the switched out songs:

    Too Much
    Seek Up
    Satellite
    Samurai Cop
    Crush
    Recently
    Warehouse
    What Would You Say
    Granny
    Say Goodbye
    Sledgehammer
    Here On Out
    #41
    She
    Crash Into Me
    Don't Drink The Water
    Everyday ->
    Ants Marching
    ------------------
    Save Me
    Pantala Naga Pampa ->
    Rapunzel

I would be thrilled to get a set like that in 2019 - nothing out of the ordinary either.

Rapunzel as a show closer is quickly getting to AATW closer level of annoying.

I always thought Sugar Will has been missing the keys that Butch played in 04 that helped amplify that riff. I would love to hear it again with Buddy on it.

Would really love to see If I Had It All come back with Buddy. He would add a lot of depth to that song live. Plus it's just a great song that has been massively underplayed.

They need to slow it down, and Buddy needs to play some keys at the ends. None of that organ crap. Try to play it the way it was in 2000.

I agree, though Ants is a way better live song, and I've sort of accepted the role it has...even though I don't necessarily like it in that slot.

They have a billion songs that are strong enough to be closers, yet they still stick to the same ones every single show. I don't get it.

What a difference four songs can make and it's not like the four you inserted are uber rarities or anything. Nobody leaves that show disappointed.

Two Much into Seek Up would be bad ass BTW.

Agreed. He could also play a little less in certain parts, but overall they sound great.

I love how full they sound, Dave's acoustic is loud in the mix and Tim isn't doubling everything Dave's playing like he used to, plenty of softer playing and dynamic, Dave is killing it vocally on some stuff like Say Goodbye. The setlists are redundant and a lot of their great songs are missing but in terms of pure sound I like this version of the band way more than where they had been for a while.
