There was one of the ushers there that wouldn’t let folks use the four step staircase from the 100s to the 200s...she was making people go out into the torrential rain and dangerous lightening to get around. Total lack of common sense and decency.

Yea what a shit show. That was my first show in the pit and I remember looking back at the lawn and seeing trees bent in half from the wind and seeing rainwater rushing down the steps on both sides of the pavilion like raging waterfalls. Could see the lights and speaker towers swaying from the wind and was worried they were going to topple over if it got any worse and wondering where everyone was going to fit when they made the announcement for everyone to come under the pavilion. Things could have potentially turned out much much worse.

We didn't, but...
- we generally only get to venues early enough to get a poster (and this year I literally got the last one...the display model...three times)
- we had our kids w/ us for their DMB first show, so tailgating wasn't part of the experience we planned for an eight and 14 year old.
- I don't really or regularly drink (especially beer) or eat beef, which often cuts into the ingestion aspect of such things
- lastly, I'm liberal as all hell, which seems to tick off a fair amount of folks here

We'll see about this year, depending upon if we got Bristow...we requested via WH and assume we'll get some uppers at least, but despite loving the band and their shows, it's a bit of shitshow of a venue. Might get premier parking in an effort mitigate some of the crappiness of getting out of the freaking lot...

Is that where cars were lost last year? We didn't see where the flooding happened, we were just parked on the mid-upper part of a an incline. As such we neither got flooded nor heard about the flooding until the next day...maybe that night after we got home.

I was in premier parking last year and mercifully my car was spared. I don't think there was any major flooding in that lot.

Folks can put their contact info, what you're bringing to the tailgate, etc. Generally a group meets up at the Target near the venue to caravan in so they can all park together, and latecomers can use the contact info in the spreadsheet to get in touch with folks to find out where they're set up.

Same here. I only requested hoping that I would get lowers or even pits. It's our local venue and as you know, the only "regional" show for the MD, VA (JLL and VA Beach), and Raleigh regulars.

Hope it's a freaking killer show given how much they cut back for the region...
