I get where you’re coming from. But Carter isn’t getting any younger and neither is Dave. Maybe they want to ease into an every other or every couple years touring cycle. Maybe Dave wants to do more with Tim.

Just speculating of course but in my head it makes sense to do a big blow out tour that’s wider sweeping than normal before a break.

It's easy to connect the dots in retrospect as to who wanted the break and what purpose the break was meant to serve.

There were multiple reports of fan encounters with Carter in 2017 as I recall where he openly questioned the rationale for the break, so it wasn't him. They've also clearly taken steps to help him out physically (note how Two Step has gone from a 20-minute staple to a rarity with no end jam).

Yes sir. Same source. He’s the events coordinator for Daily’s and apparently it was in the conversation but just too small. He said expect DMB at Veterans 7/23. I don’t know the guy. He’s a friend of a friend but she said he’s reliable so we shall see come tuesday.

I could live with that, buuuut, I hope the venue gets its shit together or has gotten it together since the Aerosmith one. I left my house in Cuyahoga Falls at 5pm and was not in my seat until 8:30pm....parking was a mess (we parked at the fairgrounds and walked to the venue because shuttles looked to be extremely slow), NFL security made it take forever to enter the venue, the merch/concession process was a mess, and the concourses were such a mess/cluster. I know they have renovated the stadium since then and that was the first show, but my experience was less than great.

Okay gotcha. I'll retract that Daily's rumor so it doesn't count against our accuracy rating.

(Yes, I care about stuff like that)

Bristow is not worth traveling for.

I'll disagree with that because it all depends what the distance is. If it's within a 4 hour drive, i'll travel. Nashville being an example of this year since its on a saturday and a 4 hour drive from Atlanta.

That was the first show they had...they have finished some parking around the venue now but they are still trying to finish everything they started construction on.

Well if that's the general consensus, then yes, its worth traveling to a one nighter, in my humble opinion.

I travel to one night stands all the time. Why? Because I don't have any other options. With the exception of Rogers, AR, every show for me is at least 6 hours away. I travel on average 6-10 hours to get to a one nighter, 10-12 on average for a 2 nighter.

Yea, PA has a very solid DMB following. Burgettstown for the western PA fans, Camden for the eastern PA fans. I doubt it'll get skipped. Skipping Hershey makes sense, but not Burgettsown.

I miss the Hershey shows but nothing else about the experiences. Hellacious traffic and insanely hot/wet days.

Last time I was at a Hershey show was 06/29/12. It was so hot that there was heat lightning by the end of the set. Once I heard the snare drum intro of Ants for the encore, I bailed.

GREAT version of Shotgun that night, though. My favorite.

Oh theres definitely some one nighters that could be worth the trip, especially if you get back to back nights in another city or something.

I was just personally pointing to Bristow, noone should waste their time traveling there unless its the only or one of few viable options to see a show. Terrible parking, generic cookie cutter venue in the middle of nowhere and sets generally are lame.

it was supposed to be a joke. if i had truly clarified my stance it wouldn't have been as funny.

apparently it wasn't funny to begin with. I LAUGHED.

This. Every DMB show I go to requires a hotel.
that's awful. I feel bad for you Chad.

what i really mean when i say a 1 night stand isn't worth traveling for, is I don't fly for 1 nighters. I won't drive more than 4-5 hours for one either, and i would still consider that traveling.

I live in dallas, and no doubt do woodlands and dallas each year. don't consider that traveling persay.

camden, spac, alpine, msg, gorge? yeah, those are travel.

I travel a lot for shows, but i wouldnt fly to camden or alpine or msg for 1 night.

    just my take.

Definitely going to both the Nashville and Atlanta shows. So glad they're hitting places around me again.

I had no choice but to travel when I lived in Winnipeg (I became a fan after they stopped playing there). Closest shows were Minneapolis. Flew to my first with a coworker, and for the second I did the 8-hour drive each way by myself.

Feel very spoiled to now live in a city they hit every year.

Does that hurt the chances of Lake Tahoe happening? Really wanted to check out that venue this year.

Was there a Lake Tahoe rumor? If so, I missed it.

I don't think it was a rumor but more of general question because of the proximity of the venues. I think the Tahoe Amp at Harveys is only 2 hour drive so that might rule out Lake Tahoe this tour.

Hometown kid here. There's a newish arena that fits 12-14K. They've been pulling some serious acts the past couple years. Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Bill Joel.

It's the center of market so deprived of culture, you can throw just about anyone in that building and it'll sell out.
