I really hope this song wasn't neutered in the studio.

Considering it’s only 3 and change, I’d say it has been.

My thoughts too. Unless they chopped off multiple sections and kept Jeff's solo. Losing Jeff's solo would be awful.

I will say it is waaaay too long live. It really goes nowhere in the outro, like a bad 41 fade out. I hope his solo is in tact as well, could be a solid album song.

Honestly it could lose the intro, a verse, maybe one of the bridges and it would be fine IMO

I really hope CT, this song especially included, didn't just pack away the great horn parts. I really miss the horns in SC, so I hope B&BB kept the horns a focus point. AND I also hope Jeff got to have a solo.

The Rolling Stone review refers to B&BB as comparatively spare by comparison to Here On Out (which is rumored to have orchestral accompaniment).

Does this have anyone else mildly concerned that this short little album version of B&BB is going to sound vastly different than the full band versions we've been treated to so far?

I hope all the redeeming qualities of the song haven't been stripped away.

Jams don't always work in the studio. We, the hardcore fans, may prefer that extended mix of Hello Again, but it if a little lifeless. Part of what made those '04 versions magic was the spontaneity. The studio version just didn't capture that. If the extended jam works in service of the studio recording, I am all for having it and welcome it. But if it lacks the energy that makes that jam interesting in the live setting, it can weigh down the entire thing.

This is one of the songs I’m looking forward to most, and the 3.5 min is kinda scary. But it could still work well. Cut the intro out, cut the last verse/outro short. Just please keep the Jeff solo and turn Stefan up

We know we’ll still likely get the full song when played live, although it seems it’s becoming a bit of a rarity (only two full band plays since 2015)

Spare meaning not highly produced which I think is the right choice for this song, whereas Here On Out definitely could use the orchestra

I love the studio cut of this song. My only gripe is that it should be longer, but even as is it's one of my top songs on the album.

It's strange that when you look for the lyrics in Itunes, it appears the lyrics of the whole version... How will Dave sing it live? Or will it be like the third verse of Grey Street?
