Yeah i was just curious. hes a lot of fun!

I like him, Jenn Sherman, Cod, Denis and Christine the best but I try to ride with everyone here and there to mix it up. If you tell me what kind of music you and your wife like i can try to steer you in the right direction.

I followed you. I'm not even sure what that means though. Did my second ride tonight. Another 20 minute beginner ride with Alex. I felt much better this time.

    Nice

Following people is just basically for the leaderboard. You can show the entire leaderboard or if you have a bunch of friends you can filter to just see your friends in the class or you can filter by your age/sex to see how you're doing against people similar in age etc.

Today is the 8th day I had the bike and I did my 7th ride this afternoon. Already I can tell this was a great decision. I'm 44 and I haven't exercised since college. I can't wait to ride each time. I am planning my rides days in advance. I feel so much better at the end of each ride. My HR is not elevating as quickly as it did in the first 2 rides and it has prompted me to eat a little better as well. I've been snacking less and making better choices. I was worried I would eat more with all the exercise but I am actually eating less. I've lost 2-3 lbs already. Can't wait to see the results when I am 25, 50 or 100 rides in!

    Re: Peloton bike

So they are coming out with a Peleton Treadmill. Great for runners right? Well, its $4k thousand fucking dollars.

After reading a review, this sounds like the definition of a silicon valley startup bullshit pricing. Its a treadmill, it may be well made. But even a well made treadmill is half that price or even a third of the price because you know there will be bullshit addons like they did with the bike, and each one will be hundreds of dollars when they should be $40 addons.

So you are paying out the ass just for the classes. The classes are the selling point for me, but $4k for a well made but no frills treadmill?

Fucking fuck that makes me frustrated.

Let me repeat: $2000 for the bike. But $4000 for the treadmill.

    Fuck you

If the treadmill were 2k i would very likely get it. Rat bastards.

It is a lot of money, but it's the classes and the simplicity of using it that make it fun to use. If you read the reviews of people who own it, the success stories are endless. I don't even feel like I paid for a bike. I feel like I paid for my fitness, or at least the pathway to it. I worked out more in 8 days than in the last 20 years!

Yea..im sold on the classes. It is what i need and would make working out at home fun.

I just find it ridic that they doubled the price for the treadmill.

I just am not a biker (or never have been in the past anyways). Sigh. And this Studio app that pairs with treadmills is for Apple only, so dumb.

Ive got a month before we move into our house, so Ill keep debating...

Not sure about the app for treadmill but there is a rumor that Apple is going to buy Peloton...so that may explain it.

So glad you love it! I'm obviously 100% in love with it so I always get nervous when I go crazy telling someone about it. I'm afraid they will buy it and regret it.

My ride schedule got altered coming down to crunch time of HS basketball season and my diet got a little thrown off on the day of the Super Bowl and Eagles parade day but I am 21 rides in, now doing 45 minute rides and feeling great at the end, and I am down 8 pounds. Loving it!

Nice to hear... when do find it’s best to do your rides early AM or PM? My wife has really been pushing for us to buy one, just want to see if it’s realistic to do a quick ride before work.

On days I am not working, I like to ride just before lunch. On normal work days, I try to ride as soon as I get home. Let me know if you have any other questions. If you are going to get one, let me know and I can give you a referral code that will give you $100 off accessories at purchase and I get a credit in the Peloton store.

Awesome! I did #250 on Saturday. Tomorrow will be 1 year since I got it.

Do you have a favorite instructor yet

I tried a few but I have stuck with Jennifer Jacobs. Her rides seem to be pretty consistent and she plays music I like.

Did you pay upfront or finance? If you did finance, how much does it total per month? If you pay upfront there is still a monthly charge, correct?

Sorry if this has been covered.

I paid up front. I believe it is $39 per month after that. Feel free to ask any other questions. I had a ton of questions before I bought but it was a great decision. If you do buy, use the code below and it gets you $100 off of the accessories and gets me a credit in their store.

For the first time in I don't know how long, there was a 1 in the hundreds place on the scale today! 199! Down from 226 on January 15th. I'm 6'2" so 199 is close to being a really good weight for me. I did a 45 minute ride yesterday and felt so good afterward that I went on for a 20 minute ride right after. Feeling good!

Wow man, that’s super impressive. Congratulations and keep up the hard work.

Sounds silly but it’s incredible what simply incorporating some kind of movement on a daily basis can do for some people. I’m on my 6th month at my new gym and I haven’t been in this good of shape since I played college football 6+ years ago. Life really is so much better when you exercise on a frequent basis.

True. Getting started was the hardest thing. Now I can't wait to get on the bike!

    Way to go Noles

4-5 years ago I was biking a good bit, but all I had was a shitty Target bike I took from my dad. I haven't really ridden it at all in the past 3ish years and I'm in a catch 22 of should I get a decent bike and would that motivate me to ride more? I got a cheap little stationary bike free from a neighbor a couple years ago and do use it on occasion. Biking has always been something I liked as a form of exercise.

Thanks! I remember reading that when he posted it and thinking that he is right until I make him wrong. Guess I did that. I went from a size 38 waist to size 34. None of my golf pants fit anymore. The other day my wife said I need new pants, I look like I'm wearing a diaper. lol

Glad this thread popped back up. We are thinking of getting one. With my commute, it's really tough to go anywhere for exercise. I used to spin consistently for 2 years and I loved it. That is why I am so intrigued.
