On a side note, I just realized how far Malik Newman has fallen. Dude was up near the top of mock drafts a few years ago.

He's just not as good as he was projected to be. And you can't blame coaching or lack of talent around him anymore

I haven't really watched him at Kansas but usually his game is jack up the 3 bal then play lackluster defense

Great comeback last night. First win at WVU in five years. Hard to believe that Frank Mason went 0-4 there, and THIS mentally weak Kansas team was the one to get it done.

Can never really count on them to make a big tourney run, but Purdue really might be the best team. They have no weakness whatsoever and experience all over the court.

Yeah, I was really impressed with their comeback last night as well. I can't say I'm too surprised because of Bill Self. For me, he's the second best in CBB right now. Obvi K is on top for me being a Duke fan.

I know he had a bad game last night, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is Kentucky's best player. Can't wait to see if he can translate things to the NBA. 6'6" PG who can shoot would be crazy.

Yeah, he's also tough as nails, unlike the rest of the team. Kevin Knox has no motor and Hami Diallo is straight up terrible.

I don't notice anything different. Nobody outside of hardcore college basketball fans really care until after the Super Bowl.

Yeah college basketball is pretty low on the radar until the NFL postseason is over. From mid-February to early April it's huge.

But does anybody feel like the college game just isn't as good as it was in the mind to late 2000s and before then?

Like it just seems different. I'll re watch old games on YouTube and the product on the floor seemed better then now (for all teams)

Increased turnover because of the one and done rule. Before that rule, you had teams full of juniors and seniors who had played together their entire careers. Now we have a bunch of freshmen wunderkinds trying to learn on the fly and a sloppy product being the result. Tournament is still hot fire regardless.

Also in the last few years the new emphasis on calling hand checks a tiddlywink fauls has been a terrible addition to the game
