Tornados in Nebraska are a part of growing up there. That wouldn't faze ole' Frosty.

Looking at Bowl Predictions and some I see PSU vs Notre Dame at the Cotton Bowl, that would be fun. Auburn can totally fuck with the Playoffs if they win the SEC and Bama goes with just one loss

You really want me to walk you through why he was fired again? I know you're being a Bama homer because he was the OC there and won champoinships when they had an NFL defense, but the man failed and failed hard at what he was brought to UF to do. That and he was a complete cunt to everyone in the athletic department. One of the first things Scott Stricklin said at the press conference when they fired Mac was it was about more than wins and losses. The guy's a prick and lied about death threats. Kick rocks back to the Mountain West.

Regardless, Chip Kelly going to be announced as the next UF coach in the next day or two. Anyone who thinks a coach like Kelly would take a bullshit job like UCLA over Florida really needs to get in rehab, because you clearly have a drug problem.

If they lose to Auburn, whose spot do they take in this scenario?

    Wisconsin is undefeated B1G Champ.
    Miami is undefeated ACC Champ
1-loss OU is Big XII Champ

OU probably. Can't lose to Iowa State and contend for the national championship

In this scenario, I think Bama could be left out if Georgia wins the SEC. would be the 3 teams you mentioned and Georgia.

If Auburn proceeds to beat Georgia then I’m not really sure who you pick between Bama and Auburn.

Bama, just like they took tOSU over PSU last year. That being said I can see them having both in

    1) Agreed regarding McElwain's firing. Seems like personal matters played as much of a role - if not more - as the on-field matters.

    2) Regarding Chip and his decision, it has nothing to do with the quality of the job. Florida is a better job than UCLA. Obviously. It has everything to do with Chip and what he wants. By all accounts, he's not your typical college coach.

According to a source, Kelly and UF have not reached any kind of agreement. The source said Kelly wants to talk to UCLA, which fired Jim Mora on Sunday.

Yeah this feels distinctly different to me though. Auburn would definitely have a better “resume” or set of wins than Bama, whereas last year OSU’s overall profile was better than PSU’s. Also, Bama’s season would end on a loss. OSU got a chance to prove after their loss they were still a worthy playoff team.

I disagree. I think OU should be ranked higher than they are now and, outside of a loss in the Big 12 championship, they're in.

Robbie Andreu is the textbook definition of a hack. He's the worst. He also just tweeted this:

So he's covering his ass? If he didn't sign the contract tonight (and it sounds like he didn't), it's almost a guarantee he or Dunn will at least take a call from UCLA. Not a bad thing. Could just be for leverage.

Florida has been here before with Urban Meyer and Notre Dame. Florida pitched first and then had to wait. He'd called ND his dream job, but he decided he could win a national title more easily at Florida. Chip will have his own criteria.

At the very least Kelly is creating a bidding war. But there are clear advantages for him personally at UCLA instead of Florida, as laid out in that article.

It depends on what Kelly wants. To act like it’s absurd he would even consider UCLA over UF is being a homer.

So some guys just stalked the UF airplane at the Ocala Airport and broadcast it on Periscope. Scott Stricklin (AD) and Kent Fuchs (President) got off the plane, but no Kelly. Stricklin talked to the people standing there, and from what I could hear, said that they had had "productive talks" and would continue to do so in the next few days. Also, at some point tonight, it was announced that the usual Monday presser tomorrow morning was bumped up and extended by 30 minutes.

Completely agreed. Still a very good possibility he ends up at Florida but there have been many mentions over the years how he doesn't like the "fishbowl" enivronment that some schools have. So, really, it all comes down to what he wants.

When he was asked earlier in the year, he said it'd come down to fit. Is that fit at Florida where he'd have many more resources, better pipeline for recruiting but have the fishbowl atmosphere or is that at UCLA where he'd have less resources but also less scrutiny and would be able to go about his personal life without being bothered?

Re: ** College Football Season **

Was listening to the guy that created one of the advanced analytics systems and he mentioned that it's just a pretty down year in college football. His top two teams right now are Ohio State and Alabama (these aren't RANKINGS in terms of resume or what they've accomplished, it's a predictive model that says Bama and Ohio State would be favored to beat all the other teams at this point). But then he said that those two teams would have been ranked #6 and #7 in last year's rankings.

If Auburn proceeds to beat Georgia then I’m not really sure who you pick between Bama and Auburn.

I'd pick the team that won when they played, but I know that's not really a thing these days.
