ETA: For what it's worth, my usual strategy is to drink while tailgating, then sober up during the show so I don't have to pay $24 for a beer or whatever they're charging these days. If you plan to smoke, though... Probably best to have a ride lined up.

This is always my approach too - spend the afternoon getting shitty at the tailgate so I'm nice and buzzed walking in, then by the time the show is over and you're trying to leave, I'm good to drive.
