Last year was the first year of sky lawn, so it’s unsure how packed it will be right away, but last year it wasn’t a problem to get up there and on the rail at all. If you go in at doors and head right for it, you shouldn’t have any issue. It’s just first come/first serve like any lawn spot, it’s just elevated above the seats. If you go in right as the band is about to come on, it’ll be harder to get a spot as people figure it out. I thought the viewing angles were decent, and it’s actually got a few tiers, so if you’re not right on the rail there, you can still see decently well. And there’s a section on each side of the pavilion. It’s kind of an angled view, not dead center, but it’s nice.

It’s worth checking out to see if you like it, and if you don’t, you can always head back to the regular lawn (which I think is pretty nice anyways). If you can’t get good reserves and don’t like the $115 price point, I think it’s a great alternative.
