theres a hell of a lot more bands than two that do stuff on stage directly for fans.
Thats what im talking about, stuff at the shows, not releases and external stuff handled by management. DMB has trended farther and farther away from that year by year. They continue to isolate fans that have been around longest in favor of doing the easy thing and playing for the casual crowd.
Dave's comments are direct proof of that. He doesnt care what hardcore fans want at all. And to an extent that can be a good thing, but theres hardly any tangible appreciation outside of the random rare song or two, but really only if you go to a destination venue.
