yeah I put them (ear plugs) in and I'm off to sleep. I guess if you need the white noise, you won't hear them. I have my phone's alarm on blast so when it goes off at 6am, I hear it after the 3rd ring. But for whatever reason, once I put them in I drift off into sleep.
