Carter is amazing.
If you play this track from 0:39, Carter hits the snare on the following counts in a 4/4.
From 0:39 (As soon as he says 'After, count 1')

It's the snare hits on 3 that is one of those things that differentiates Carter from most drummers. Most drummers will almost always hit the snare on 4.
