The Cubs aren't in town that weekend so Wrigleyville won't be too touristy that weekend. Michigan Ave./River North is just always overrun with tourists in the summer. It's a cool hotel and gets you out of that area.
I can't stand Wrigleyville, personally, but I grew up here and have lived in Chicago most of my life. Assuming you've been to Chicago in the summer and done the Grant Park/Millenium Park/Mag Mile stuff before, it's more fun to spend time in the neighborhoods than Michigan Ave./River North/The Loop.
