yeah, hair metal. i mean, some of the best metal albums came of the 80s (master of puppets, reign in blood, dont break the oath, etc), but hair metal marred that. like breaking a toe durring an orgasm.

I was a MASSIVE fan of nu-metal, but started getting out of it for heavier grindcore/metalcore/math metal stuff. Norma Jean (their first CD) is awesome, as is Dillinger Escape Plan. Zao is one of my absolute favorites. I haven't listened to much sludge other than Eyehategod, but I really like them. Dying Fetus is growing on me, too.

Dying Fetus is some sick shit. and nu-metal isnt too bad when you get to the original bands that did it, like Slipknots first album and System Of A Down in general. Syd from Slipknot hugged me at Ozzfest '99
And honestly, I fucking LOVE Rammstein. I just fucking love them.
