They had the money but there was some rule that you could only work $50 at a time. So, the wife went, then husband, and then had to call friends to come do the last two transactions. This on top of the groceries they were buying were for a party the next day and without these deals they were SOL. (That was the episode. No idea if rigged.)

i know the episode they shot in my town was rigged. some woman that was one of my coworkers friend went to price chopper and, off the top of my head i dont recall all the details of what went down, because they were shooting a tv show let the woman use double and triple coupons or however that madness works. but i guess price chopper does not let you do that any other time? only when shooting a tv show apparently.
