Good show last night. While the uppers were curtained off the lowers and most of the floors looked fairly full but were more like 80% full. I expected it would look very empty. It didn’t. Dave said nothing about crowd size and in fact apologized for it being so long since the band were last in Vancouver. He did mention the hope that Canada welcome those to the south should things go south. Old school setlist with personal highlights being DIDO, Stolen Away, Madman’s Eyes and The Riff. Encore was not disappointing though I was sort of hoping for Halloween given the timing of the show.
The guest trombone musician on Jimi was among the best guest performances on any song I have ever seen live. Not sure if her energy and sound will translate to the tape. Worth a listen for that alone.
