Civil War historian again. Yes Liz Cheney is no Abraham Lincoln. Rather the correct comparison is Lincoln’s opponent Stephen Douglas who went along with slaveholders throughout the 1850s until they attacked the white man’s democracy in Kansas and committed treason.
