I took a peek at it and since it was in a sealed tube with paper there doesn't seem to be any issues with the color. Bright white boarder and ink on poster seems bright.

Yes, absolutely. Depending on the size of the tube, there will likely be permanent roll bends in it.
Now, if you're looking to frame it and display it, they may not be visible from the front, so it may not be the end of the world. If you're looking to sell it and get max value, it will be an issue there.
First things first, get it out of the tube and flatten it out for a good long while. I would get two large pieces of styrofoam and clamp it between them (with kraft paper between it and the styrofoam). Just make sure whatever you flatten it with is uniform so that it flattens evenly.
