Also, I must have low standard because I thought there were a lot of really great releases this year. It’s not like there were any Deeper Understandings or High Violets, but I think there was a lot of worthwhile stuff.

I'm leaning toward Live Drugs is eligible but Black Pumas is not
And hopefully coming up with a consistent answer here for why: We'll go with the first time the title was available
I can think of arguments either way, so feel free to tell me I'm wrong (you and others ITT). I'm open to hearing other arguments
I also like a lot of records this year, but there's only one that feels like a classic for me
Edit: Maybe two? Yeah, I'd be comfortable calling my top two classics
