With the boneheaded icing I had a feeling the Flyers weren't getting a point. I think they have been outplaying the Blackhawks, but not by much. Such a fantastic game

Agreed 100%.

I've said this 100x. Tim loves this topic too.

But everything should be reviewable.

EVERYTHING.

If you can use replay to get the call right, do it.

"Non-reviewable plays" shouldn't exist.

Hockey has the best replay system in pros, they should review everything for sure

I'm kidding. I actually borderline like the Flyers, at least when you compare them to the Pens.

Pens are awful, wise decision :thumbsup

[QUOTE=JRS1386;15202936]Out of curiosity who would you all pick for the following?

Favorite player on your team? Least favorite player? Up and coming player you like a lot?

My favorite is Pavelski. Least liked is easily Martini Havlat. 6 million dollars per playing on the 4th line... lol. Up and coming easily Hertl (hope he's back for playoffs) and to a lesser extent Nieto. Kid's got speed, does well with other speedsters Marleau and Cooch.

nampahcj 03-18-2014 08:52 PM

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

And as I say that Havlat scores a PPG. :lol

He has been playing better as of late.

They play "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" by Michael Jackson. I love hearing them blast it before they let us in haha

@Tim - realistically, when does Dats come back. Tempted to drop him as I need that ir spot now. Can't afford an empty roster spot cause an injured guy is on the active roster.

Realistically? I dunno. They said shut him down for 3 weeks from the deadline, that was two weeks ago today. So the earliest would be next Thursday against the Habs, but that's only if their luck changes.

Talking about the Vinny high stick that went off the post? Yeah that should be reviewable. Penalties should not be, including goalie interference because I think that opens up a huge can of worms.

Yup, was gonna come in here and post "The Wings actually win in regulation BUT of course they lose someone else." Now the plague has moved onto the defense. Broken finger for Big E. They looked pretty good last night. Howie doing his thing and a lot of guys looked good but especially Nyquist. 19 goals for him this year.

I saw a tweet that said (I think) this was their 6th game in a row losing someone to injury? Terrible, terrible luck.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

Also anyone hear about the goalie stuff about TO last night? First Carlyle was asked about how Reimer he said "he was ok." Then Reimer heard about that and you could tell he was irked by it and "I said I thought I was good, but not great." That's more how I would describe him last night. Then his dumbass agent posts on twitter that when your defense plays bad in Toronto the goalie gets the blame. Odd Reimer is still a Leaf next season? I'm gonna guess not very good.

And back to my Wings for a second, see the Alfie goal that put it away? It was on his stick and off in a second. Too bad Legwand is the best guy he has feeding him the puck.

I would wager Reimer will be a Jet next year.

What about Pavlec? Three years left on his deal.

Nice that I have a first round bye for the fantasy league but Nyquist and Hartnell are on my team and they had good nights last night.

While I'm not saying Reimer necessarily is, I don't think Pavlec is #1 material. I could see it being a 1a/1b situation there in Winnipeg.

The only thing there is Reimer doesn't seem to like that role right now. BUT maybe Paul Maurice is better at handling that type of situation than Carlyle is.
