That said, yeah I don't really think Colorado is that good yet either but obviously I have made that clear.

The thing about the Avs is they have an overload of talent and all the pieces to be a well-rounded, really good hockey team. The biggest thing they're missing? Battle scars. They need to fight their way through a few playoff series', winning - and losing - a couple to really see and experience what the price they have to pay is. Jiggy, Talbot, and Tanguay can lecture them all day about "paying the price", but they'll never know until they do it. The Pens did it, the Hawks did it, the Bruins did it, and the Avs are no exception.

I've tempered my enthusiasm, with only a couple energetic outbursts (that I think were warranted considering the dramatic turnaround they've experienced from last season to this), knowing that when they started to fall, it would probably be hard. I'm not worried at all about them picking themselves up again - eventually.

EDIT: But hey, all y'all Blackhawks fans will get to see the disaster that is Tyson Barrie tonight, so there's that! (Cory Sarich is also out tonight after that ill-attempted fight with Chris Stewart)

:lol Such an ass. Suppose it's typical haughtiness for someone sporting the winged wheel. Have you been stabbing your Patrick Roy voodoo doll lately or something?

With the remodeling of MSG did they make it lighter? Always remembered it being darker there during hockey games.

Wish I could tell you. I have not been to a game yet this season. Hopefully I will get to one in December. Been to more Bruins games than Rangers games over the past 2 years haha.

Shawn Thornton just went top shelf on Henrik Lundqvist? Did I just witness that?

Hawks have had a weird couple of games, either getting smoked or smoking somebody. Whats been the issue?

Have to say that surpises me.

Wings game? Not so much. This team needs to wake up..and get healthy. They get Smith back and then lose DeKeyser....

Wow, that was the Oilers team we thought we were getting at the beginning of the year. I like.

Then they get the Panthers in a few days. They should take advantage of that.

Mostly just randomness combined with a few boneheaded plays costing them.

Florida, Chicago, Nashville, and Columbus to finish up the month. Going 2-2 would be good enough imo.

This is going to sound like the worst kind of Benedict Arnold-ness, but I really want to see the Wings do well. Franzen is really the only guy I don't like on their team, and that's mostly because he's content just staying in hibernation until he plays the Avs.

That's what I was thinking. This was how it was supposed to look. Glad to see them get one.

Careful... the Panthers game was supposed to be the Avs bounce back game. Would love to see the Oil go on a tear.

EDIT: And also, my condolences to Schreiber. On the flipside of seeing the Oilers win, it sucks seeing the Jackets tanking so bad.

And he's actually played well recently. They might have found a spot for him with Helm. They need to get healthy and try to figure out roles for guys. Weiss was struggling and then played a good game...and then gets hurt. Alfie was doing well...and then gets hurt.

And about the Panthers you are right. Can't sleep on anyone in this league.

We looked awesome. If only we could keep up that kind of pace all year :lol

Got free tickets to the Flyers v. Sabres tomorrow. I'm pretty excited. I haven't been to a hockey game in way too long.
