Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread
I really hope Trotz rips all of these guys a new asshole after the game. They need a wake up call.

Unless you've got a play where the goal is worth 3, it's pointless. Take the L and go back to TN.
EDIT: Embarrassing embarrassing game. |

Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread
So I will return to what Chris and I were saying at the start of the playoffs about how the Wings should have wanted to lose to play Phoenix. The team that held the Wings offense in check, besides the Wings themselves, is now down 2-0 to the team the Wings would have played had they lost in regulation the last game.
The positive side of it is that maybe Suter will be like they are no better I'm going to Detroit. :) The bad side is that it gives the Yotes more time to work on a deal to stay put. Would be pretty funny if after two first round losses where we thought they were leaving they don't but when they go deep into the playoffs they still move. |
Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread
Happy birthday Chris Kreider. In just under two weeks, you've become the rangers' best player!

Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread
So I've been out of town so I haven't been around the past couple days, and I don't know if this has been posted, but it should be:

Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread
Well he'll be back in Russia in September and Suter will be in Detroit and Gaustad will be somewhere making $4mil a year.

Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread
think both series get even tonight...can't see the Kings winning both on the road again and feeling like the Caps get a win.
IF the Rangers do win tonight, they win this series in no more than 5 |

Hitchcock, Tortorella, and MacLean for Adams:
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=630098 Could've been quite a few coaches this year, but I can agree with these three for sure. |

Two of the post hits were pucks that hit hank on the way in, for what that's worth.
Game 1 the rangers were more the team they were during 82 games in the regular season than the entire first round. I expect another big effort. |

Nashville's going to have to get unrattled real fuckin quick if we want to keep PHX from going up 3-0. We can definitely take 2 games in Nashville. |

EDIT: If I could put him into the top 3, it would be in place of MacLean. No doubt he's done a killer job with the Sens this year. But it's the consistency of Trotz year after year with a seemingly mediocre roster that makes him front runner in my book. |

I would take Trotz hands down. Also have no clue how Holmgren was not considered for GM of the year. Just about nailed every move he made this offseason and the Flyers are better off for it.
