We left early to beat traffic, we win tonight.

Chris - I thanked Dave tonight for getting you downstairs and he spoke very highly of you!

Ughhh. So bad. In going to be day drink on Saturday. So that's something to look forward to.

But seriously, leaving early? For shame.

Not sure if I'm going on Saturday, should meet for a drink if I do!

And yeah, the lady friend still gets tired from her brain surgery so if they aren't playing well we sneak out early.

:lol that was a fun game.

Caps are one of the dirtier teams I've seen play this year.
I hate ovi more than ever.
to see someone with that much talent play the game like that is just a disgrace.
he is a -9 this year against the jackets.

All the teams the Wings needed to lose last night, won. Huge game tonight for them against the Caps and Sunday against them too. They could play themselves out of the playoffs this weekend. You get 4-6 points behind some of these teams that's gonna be rough.

My good buddy is just like you, needs 100+. He claims it's because he's used to wood/aluminum sticks back there anyway, but he's a defenseman's defenseman. Love him in the defensive zone, but I don't think I've ever seen him score a goal, and god help us if he's playing the point on the PP :lol

I actually just got an Easton Mako on clearance for like $50 in a 75 flex for the hell of it a couple months ago. I feel like I got one of these things out there:

Are you sure this isn't me your talking about? :lol

But yeah, I would imagine an 85 is just about right for a forward transitioning to defense. Enough strength in that twig to still whack some wrists and deliver some cross checks in front of the net. Errr, I mean, poke checks. Yeah.

Derek Mackenzie is a 4th line center for the jackets, got a short handed breakaway last night and scored on a really nice move.

They interviewed him in-between periods at the arena, asked him to describe what happened and he said "i don't know i blacked out"
:lol:lol

you think miller is a sure #1 for the US now? it may have hurt quick to play that way in front of bylsma, we'll see i guess....pens were just playing at a different speed, kings couldn't really skate with 'em

lots of games left though, kings are by no means out of it, they need improvment though

Don't worry, they're playing the Flyers tomorrow, which means the Kings will likely score five goals and Quick will pitch a shutout.

Parise is your olympic captain. Brown and Suter to wear an 'A'.

Interesting. I thought Backes would be wearing a letter, but all those three are good leaders in their own right me thinks.

Plus, Mike might just kill a human being if he found out Backes got a letter.

bonzo48280 01-31-2014 10:47 AM

Backes not getting an A is great news. One step closer to getting him off the team.

He was a great guy. He was decked out in all Dodgers gear when I met him :lol

I offered to buy him a beer and he wouldn't let me. Good guy though, really funny.

Kind of what I was thinking. Thought Kane had an outside chance at the A, along with Backes and Callahan, but these were good choices. I had Parise pegged as the C though. Seems about right.

They almost got it. Got lucky to get out of the first with a lead though.

People felt Brown shouldn't have even been an Olympian but they put a letter on his sweater... shows how much they know.

Tyler Myers is such a good skater. I'm being serious - it's amazing how smoothly he moves out there. Such a pussy though it's sad... You can almost tell by the way he plays that he has zero self confidence
