You think thats the reason? I'm pretty sure with all the players that are on LTIR, their salaries do not count against the cap so that would free up plenty of room to bring tangradi up if they wanted to. Not 100% sure, but I thought thats how it worked. Otherwise, whats the point of putting people on IR?

And maybe I have a skewed view, but I would like to think that Orpik and Martin aren't going anywhere.

ir is different from ltir. right now, no one is on ltir

I had a feeling Crosby wasn't back for good. I am not a fan of his but I hope for a healthy outcome.

I love Crosby, but it doesn't help when, after the guy has been out for 10 months with head issues, that for the 8 games that he plays in, he is chirping at guys, playing physical, slashing sticks at faceoffs..... etc. I love his competitive spirit, but sometimes you gotta just let that stuff go if you have head problems.

Watching him talk to the media today, he didnt seem like a guy that was going to miss a lot of time. we'll see.. i bet he is hiding a leg injury. well, at least i hope.
