Ha, no. Go Lightning I believe is what you were looking for there.

Rangers gonna miss the playoffs!!!!!

To be fair, I only said it was a possibility. I didn't say I thought it would happen.

Flyers are playing inspired hockey right now. Fun to watch even as a Rangers fan. Although beating the Icelanders may have helped it be more enjoyable for me.

Disappointing effort last night. Thought we'd be better back home. Offense in a rut and need to shake it off. Team is not trending in the right direction.

Bleeding needs to stop next game. Ever since Halak went down, we've struggled. Team should play confident in front of Greiss as he has been so good this year (even though he is still Thomas Greiss).

Obviously NYI are my rival. That said, I do feel for the Icelanders fans when I attempt to remove my bias. I know if I were a fan of the team I would be melting like crazy right now. They too will need to have a much stronger showing in this final push. Otherwise they may be an early exit, or worse, miss the show all together.

I want home ice badly, but I would not be against a NY/NY playoffs round just for the fun of it.

I think if Ovie's injury is really still a thing they should go ahead and shut him down for the season. I can't understand why they wouldn't. He's clearly not quite himself.

Have you seen our record for the majority of 1995-2013. I watched 98% of those games. I don't melt and never have. Team was looking great after beating the Rag$ and Pens 2 weeks ago. We just need to get back to what was working.

I would you guys in the first round and would prefer it. I'd rather avoid the Caps, though they look less scary these days, but don't mind the Pens either.

Howard again tonight cause Mrazek still not 100%. If Howie wins tonight, can you really justify benching him in favor of Mrazek on Thursday? I'd keep going with the hot hand.

Just saw. Won the president trophy in my long time fantasy league so I had the bye and play this week. My g tandem this year has been Crawford, Schneider and Mrazek.....all hurt. I'm screwed. Wrong timing.

I agree. Not sure what Trotz is waiting for??? I think maybe they want to get him on a roll real quick before resting him? Not sure but no reason for him to be playing against the Senators tonight

Getting Carlson back on Friday is the perfect time for the Caps. Need to get him a 8 good games under his belt before playoffs

Yeah, me too - you'd think the morons would have switched over considering that the Pens were up 4 goals with 5 minutes remaining.

Dallas is so racked with injuries heading into Chicago tonight that if the Hawks blow it I am going to be rather frustrated.

Duchene and MacKinnon (1 and 2 in Avs scoring this season) both out for the next two games. Against teams like Calgary and Edmonton, not that big a deal. Against two teams fighting for playoff spots (Philadelphia and Minnesota)... I'm a little worried.

Yeah I don't get it at all. Should be a no brainer to just sit him out. Get him ready for game one.

I wasn't aware Carlson's target date is Friday. That's great news.

I cannot even understand how Dallas has Chicago's number. Their defense is mediocre at best, their goaltending is hit or miss on any given night. Jamie Benn is damn good, Jason Spezza is on fire, and Sequin is out for the rest of the year yet they seem to have the Hawks number. Pathetic loss tonight! Get it together Hawks!

Flyers still in a good position. Tough to leave that point on the table though.

Much better from the Caps tonight. Best first period they've played in probably two months. I freaking love Justin Williams. Everything about him. Dude is just a dreamboat.

Re: The NHL Thread

Again Wings can't take care of their own business. Flyers choked amazingly last night and you can't take advantage. Wings have a 3 game home stand and need to take all of them to have a chance. It's gonna come down to that Wings/Flyers game in the last week I think, barring the Bruins total collapse. Which hey...I can dream.

barbogast 03-23-2016 05:47 AM

Re: The NHL Thread

Yeah a total bruins collapse would be ideal. That way we all get in!

Except of course our Oilers fans. One day, guys. Maybe.

I have about as much faith that the Flyers will make it that you have of being fully on board with the Caps making a deep run.

It just doesn't line up for me mentally that either of these things can happen.

You CANNOT leave C-Bus with only one point with a two goal lead with 1:07 (or whatever it was) to go. You CAN NOT.

I wasn't aware they blew a lead like that, just saw the final. :lol yikes

Still, the Wings are playing like they don't want it either. That's a really bad result for them last night too.

I want both of y'all to get in. Let's just hope the Bruins pretty much lose out.
