Congrats Rangers fans!

Not saying that Hawks-Rangers wouldn't be a great series because it definitely would, but how awesome would a Quick vs. Lundqvist matchup be for the Stanley Cup? I'd have to think that'd be hockey at its best, for sure.

Yeah I imagine that's a goalie's wet dream (pretty sure I've read you say you're a goalie)

Yeah I am, and it's a wet dream I hope becomes a reality. Hank's blocker save tonight had me freaking out lol, it was such a filthy save.

Re: The NHL Thread

I watch a lot of hockey but never manage to post in here, but I just gotta say that was one of the best overall team efforts I've seen from the Rangers. Won almost every single race to the puck, crisp passing, unbelievable goaltending (although not tested that much except for that amazing spinning save in the second). As a Rangers fan, couldn't be happier.

Always good to beat a team from up north, but this Canadien team was especially unlikable this year. They should be embarrassed at their embellishment/flopping/diving. Especially Subban, might be my least favorite player outside of Crosby and Ovechkin.

Hell of a job by King Henrick to turn around after that brutal Game 5. Quick/Lundqvist matchup in the SCF would be something else.

I rewound that about 20 times.

I'm cheering for the rags purely for Hank and Dom Moore. Yeah, even MSL. So many cool stories on this team. I know it would be tough for them to beat either western club, but you never know.

Agree with Barb - Rags/Kings solely for Sarah's sake.

This :thumbsup

Never was a big MSL guy and that hasn't really changed even with what's gone on for him this post season

I honestly believe people are underestimating the talent of this Rangers team. I've been saying it allllll year. This is a GREAT hockey team. When MSL was traded and started slow, I kept saying to just give it time...

They have a real chance to win it all. There were three teams this season in the East I truly felt could keep up with the West. The Bruins, Habs (with Vanek) and Rangers.

Congrats to all the Rangers fans in here. I know that feeling :thumbsup

Five games in the Spurs-Thunder series have been decided by more than 100 points. How in the hell can these games be even slightly entertaining to watch unless you're a Spurs fan watching the games they win by 20+ or a Thunder fan watching the games they win by 15+?

Don't see how anyone enjoys NBA playoffs more than NHL playoffs. Don't even compare for me.

By "tough" I mean it will be a challenge, not that it will be impossible. They certainly won't be sweeping either the Kings or Hawks.

I wouldn't put my money on it by any means, but anything can happen -- especially with a top-tier goalie like Lundqvist. Can't lose if the other team doesn't score.

Nobody had the Kings winning a single series let alone the Stanley Cup in 2012, and their first three series never went more than five games. Knocked off the 1, 2 and 3 seeds in the West with relative ease.

Just yet another reason why hockey playoffs are the best playoffs.

Hahaha agreed.

I've been rooting for Hawks/Rags since day 1. We'll see.

Sarah, I don't think I'm gonna make it out to LA. I can DEFINITELY make it there, but it's getting back that would be a real issue.

I used to be into the NBA a lot more than I am now. The game has just gotten way too...boring, for lack of a better word. Takes 10-15 minutes to complete the last minute of a game. Players can get to the FT line anytime they want. Seeing any sort of respectable defense is a rarity, thanks in large part to those constant foul calls.

Just lacks the action and intensity of a hockey series to me. But just my opinion, obviously.
