Yes, because not having Dan Carcillo is a real downer

Carcillo and that 4th line have been a big part of the Rangers success. He might not play every night but the games he has he has been very effective. Now theyre down Brassard and Carcillo and who knows if Stepan will play.
10 games is excessive. The official are going overboard not recommending the 3 game. Maybe they think it will take the spotlight off of them letting that game get out of control.
Anything less then 3 games for Prust is a joke. He had said he was going to go after guys after Price went down and then does this. Its comical to hear the Habs defend that too. DeShardens (how ever he spells it) called it a good hit and said it rallied their guys. Therian also defended it somewhat. Disgusting.

2 games for Prust

Perch1019 05-23-2014 02:37 PM

It was going to be one and then they found out about the injury and added one. At least they're committed to protecting the players.

Sorry, but losing Carcillo does not hurt the Rangers. The guy scored a couple goals against the Flyers and has been nonexistent otherwise. He plays 10 minutes, if that, in the games he actually plays -- he only played three against the Pens and one of the first two against the Canadiens. In those 10 minutes of ice time, he's far more likely to give the other team a power play than he is to be involved in a goal. I understand that's the type of player he is and that's his role -- but I personally think the Rangers will be better off without him in the lineup.

Rangers were already considering making Carcillo a healthy scratch (yet again) for Game 3, but instead he went out and gave them a whole 1:45 of ice time, before getting tossed and making their decision easier for Game 4.

Chances Alain told Bettman to make it 10 just so they didn't have to deal with him?

Wow, Prust got one more game than James Neal for his hit on Sean Couturier in the 2012 playoffs. I'm impressed. The NHL is actually making progress, guys!

I honestly don't think I heard the name Brendon Shanahan at all this year. Is he still the authority figure?

No, I think Colin Campbell has resumed dealing out punishment, or someone. I forget. Shanahan is with the Leafs now.

I can't really see the TV well from where I am at work, but the bar is filled with Kings fans watching so I know when they score and run over. :lol

Sweet! I'm looking at getting a gig at a Courtyard myself. It's weird being at a place that you know is closing. Working the front desk is great. I recommend it to everyone.

Your hotel is closing? It's weird being at a different brand for me. This is only my 6th day but for the most part I have the system down. Operations wise things are pretty similar to how Hilton ran things.

It is. A Palm Springs institution for 50 years. The tribe is tearing it down and presumably building a new one. I'll be getting a kick ass severance, so it's all good. I'll be able to relax for the first time since I was 16.

You guys use OPERA over there, or another system?

I hope Handzus retires tomorrow.

bonzo48280 05-24-2014 07:24 PM

Smith replaces Handzus every 3rd period in which the Hawks trail....yet I'm wrong to suggest it should always be that way.
