You're home alone and you get a knock at your door. You answer and it's Gabby wearing a skin tight postal worker suit. Cocking one eyebrow suggestively, he asks if he can come inside. What. Do. You. Do?

Don't think Howie in net makes a difference. Monster did damn well. Oh well, looking forward to a summer of no injuries. Well I guess I shouldn't say that, they could fall down some stairs or something stupid. Do we have a list of UFA defensemen out there? Wings could help out their top 4 I think. I was hard on Smith earlier in the season but he stepped up in the absence of Ericsson. Still some mistakes but for sure played better. This is still his first 82 game season.

Agreed, made some great saves. Can't argue getting beat on 2 deflections and a missed assignment on a back check.

Pretty good for his first career playoff start and only finding out after warmups. I laughed when they said it was his first career start. I was like oh yeah he was supposed to be the savior in TO and they never got into the playoffs. Was a great backup this year, even with a few injuries. Don't think he's back next year unless he wants a one year deal. I think Mrazek gets one more year in Grand Rapids starting before he comes up to be a backup.

I will always like Coyle because of him waving (and then later meeting) that kid. Something little but awesome. Tootoo did the same thing in Grand Rapids the other day.

Tough game for the Avs last night. Only watched the 3rd but they couldn't do anything. The Wild were just so so good. 12 shots obviously won't cut it, but it wasn't for lack of trying on the Avs part. Kuemper now 2-0 in playoff starts with a GAA of 0.5. Not bad :lol

Was really hoping the Wings could pull it out in OT last night. Wings have played so well for such an injury ridden team. I feel they deserved a better fate last night. Monster looked good, I assume that was his first playoff action yes? Anyway, hopefully Detroit can find a way to extend the series because they deserve it

Awesome to see the Kings finally get a win, congrats to the Kings fans in here. Hopefully that offense carries into game 5 for y'all.

edit: ^^^ awesome Gabby selfie :thumbsup

Niskanen is probably the best d-man available this year.

Seeing what MacDonald got makes me want no part of any Defense FA's this year.

The wings could always go after Nikitin :lol

Yeah Niskanen is the only one. Wings have the cap space for it easily and would be a nice addition. This is where all the injuries have been nice. These kids will be up on the big club making $1mil or less and playing decent roles. But would the Wings want to give him the kind of money others will be offering?

Just thinking a little ahead to next season. I'd be willing to put together a package that includes PA Parenteau, Ryan Wilson, and middle range draft pick (as high as a 2nd rounder depending on the offer) for a good d-man. Any takers? I'm hoping to have a chat with Phoenix about getting OEL. I need someone well-rounded, but focused more on physicality and actual d-zone presence.
