better line would have been that Rask was in the delivery room and she popped out and slid right through his legs.

So much focus on Giroux not showing up, but I personally think in Game 2 and 3 he has played fairly well. He isn't making any huge mistakes, he is just being smothered by the Rangers. If they are going to focus so hard on G the rest of the Flyers need to show up and take advantage of that

i bet Giroux is having a better series than crosby....this might be the worst i've ever seen sid play

Ya what's up with that? I noticed I didn't notice him much the other night when the Pens made that come back. I know he's had a handful of assists but he hasn't looked himself

turning the puck over
passing up scoring opportunities
losing puck battles
just a general passiveness

that can't last...it just can't

Hopefully, for the sake of Mrs. Datsyuk, the baby didn't inherit her father's head size.

Exactly I've noticed all of that. I would also assume he'll snap out of it. That's been such a weird series all the way around though nothing would really surprise me

I love the early 90's Pens jerseys.

Love the Oilers threads as well.

My favorite is probably the Blackhawks though.

pens can win without sid playing well
flyers can not

yea, he now has a 7 game goalless drought in the playoffs dating back to the boston series

to compare, mario lemiuex's longest playoff drought was 6 games, which happened twice...and the pens didn't do so well when that happened

but actually, they can't

they can beat columbus without sid, and MAYBE the NYR but no one else

they just aren't a great team this year, and when sid doesn't show up, they're just ok

that was my convoluted point. it really only applied to round 1.

I would agree with this as well

Not gonna get by the Bruins/Red Wings and maybe not even Flyers/Rangers with Sid playing this way, especially when the inevitable Fleury melt happens

Not that I'm complaining, I obviously can't stand Crosby

rangers are a good matchup for the pens, so i'd give them nod there, but it's still not a given

wings, habs, bruins, flyers are all AWFUL matchups for the pens, and frankly all those teams are playing better right now

and :lol @ not being able to stand crosby, you know ovie is on your team, right?

It's the shape more than the overall size. Almost like an egg where it's wide at one end and narrow at the other.

I was a huge Crosby apologist back in the day, and I still kinda like him, but 19! 19! 19! 19! 19! has since stolen my heart dating back to their first Cup run.

The Gabe has really come up this season though, but he's not quite on the Crosby/19! level. MacKinnon will be there.

No, not 19. I'm talking about 19! 19! 19! 19! 19!, or just 19! for short.

Two COMPLETELY different people.

Where did this whole 19! thing come from? Why do we call him that?

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

because two Ovechkin's + Gary Galley = 19! 19! 19! 19! 19!
