***Labor Dave Weekend at the Gorge 2023!***

Hey Everyone!

I figured it was time to get this thread going since tour dates will be announced here in four days and all the other excitement with the new album!

I personally am super excited since I haven't been to the Gorge since 2019. Was a shame too since I had previously been on a streak of hitting every available Gorge year since 2008. Time to start a new streak! We will be camping premier, like usual, with our Davestock site, though this year we will be bringing up to half a dozen first timers with us, so our camp will be bigger than it ever has! Exciting for them, exciting for us, our bank accounts are collectively dreading it though, namely the 2-3 premier passes that will be necessary for our group.

Hope to see you fine folks in the thread and at the campground/venue! :multi

The very first thread in this forum, above the stickied Fall shows :)

I thought there was a rule that we couldn't start threads until official announcement? Lol.

Re: ***Labor Dave Weekend at the Gorge 2023!***

Thinking about doing this by myself, without camping. If anyone can reach out and give me some tips, tricks, inspiration - it has been my dream to get out here and always slipped by and intimidating to plan etc. but I think I have it mostly all figured out from a big logistic standpoint, but need some vets to bounce things off of please if you can DM a longtime ant.

Thanks so much..

SPAC thread was up so I made this one. Back when I used to make these threads every year, like 2010ish era, We'd make the thread pretty much as soon as we could confirm the Best Western in Moses Lake was booked up by the Touring crew, which was usually in the Winter following the previous year's show.

Sorry to steal your thunder, I know you've started at least the last one.

It's pretty much a given that Gorge will be Labor Day weekend for the foreseeable future so not really sure why it matters when the new Gorge tour thread starts.

How difficult is it to get Oasis camping tickets? Thanks.

Re: ***Labor Dave Weekend at the Gorge 2023!***

I also have a question on Oasis camping if someone can help me out. Let’s say it’s just me going solo that wants a tent. On the Ticketmaster/Livenation page it defaults to 2 tickets. Can I just purchase 1 ticket, and that will get me the tent to myself? Or will they pair you up? It’s awfully confusing. Thank you everyone.

It's per-spot/tent, like all the other levels of camping, not per-person. It is weird that camping defaults to 2. And for Oasis you can select a tent that sleeps either 2 or 4 people. Here's an example, a festival that currently has all levels available for purchase:

Oasis will probably be gone in seconds/minutes. They did pop up again in August this past year.

Re: ***Labor Dave Weekend at the Gorge 2023!***

Think it's been mentioned elsewhere here, but a popup on the gorgecamping.com site:

WE’VE GOT THE POWER!
New to The Gorge Campground GOLD RV 30 & 50 AMPS receptacles are now available in Gold RV only (LIMITED).

For this ILLENIUM 2-day festival, GOLD camping is:

$380 - No Power
$700 - 30 AMP Power
$830 - 50 AMP Power

The prices for this 2-DAY event are only slightly cheaper than last year's DMB 3-Day weekend; wonder what DMB prices will be for all levels...

They have really built out the gorgecamping.com site, with tons of details for all camping levels

that would, in theory, reduce the use of noisy generators, yes?

some of them.

certainly won't have enough hookups for everyone, otherwise there wouldn't be a regular gold option.

Always is!

This year’s wishlist:

A warehouse entry line separate from TM/LN all three nights (last year there was no separation until N3, and that barely held.

A in-charge captain, to “police” the lines all day long, up until doors.

No running rule enforced once inside.

Full allotted Premier camping space (was sandwiched both sides last year, should’ve moved).

Ryan you beautiful sumbitch, hahahahahaha yeah I am stoked about going again this year.

I also have tickets to Red Rocks in June to see the Head and the Heart, so that's a bucket list item too! Hope you're doing well man, I'll be in your neck of the woods here in a few weeks!

That no running rule would be wild to see, honestly. It's always such a mad dash at gate open and You almost always see at least one person that ate shit mightily learning their limitations.

Disappointing to hear that about Premier camping, but I guess it was coming eventually. We will be buying two passes this year again and according to the campground site, each pass SHOULD get you 18' x 35'. So two should be 36' by 35' or whatnot
