Happy for the jackets. Doesn't matter though since i am just a moron pens fan.

bradshaw06 04-10-2014 06:37 AM

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

It would be fitting if the pens went against the wings. The team that bylsma won against to secure his job could end up being the team that seals his fate.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

come on bradshaw i wasn't talking about you specifically, the pens fans do have a bit of hockey snobbery though, i always hear them complaining about the boards and the lighting and the ice at nationwide. nowhere near as bad as leafs fans though.

ive always rooted for the pens, the way they played against boston in the playoffs last year did not help though.

hailtopitt 04-10-2014 06:39 AM

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

that's because there are very few real pens fans at home games

they're all sushi-eating mother fuckers

there are 5 franchises that invade nationwide when their teams visit and this is how id rank them best to worst:

chicago
buffalo
pittsburgh
detroit

toronto

its only a 4.5 hour drive and it's actually somewhat difficult to get a ticket in buffalo. plus, any reason to get out of buffalo is a good reason :lol

Buffalo fans just love a good game, love to get drunk, and love to party. I'm down with that in any arena.

I can only hope. So I need Lightning to beat the Jackets tomorrow and Wings to go 1-0-1 over the last 2. Wings/Pens goes 6 or 7 and can hope for a Wings win. Bruins/Wings? Maybe it goes 6 but not with the team in red on top.

All fans of more successful franchises end up with douchebags. They start liking the team cause it's popular, so then all of a sudden they know everything. Same goes for all the business people sitting down low. The late 90's Wings game got really quiet in the regular season. Been a lot better recently because it's not the go-to event that it was 10-15 years ago.

On that list for douche-baggery is Habs fans. I just remember some at a Wings game a few years ago and some guys were yacking back and forth just for fun and the Habs fan then took it personal and was like pointing at the banners and how they have more Cups. Habs could never win again and have more so I'm not sure that's the best argument.

Wings and Leafs are the closest and they are THIRTEEN behind. I'm interested to see how they do this year though. They impressed me a couple weeks ago. Vanek looks good there and with possible no Bishop, they'll get to round 2 against the Bruins rather easily and Habs tend to beat the Bruins...a lot.

other than the atmosphere in the arenas, i pretty much hate everything about canadian hockey

I want to start doing predictions so bad. Can Phoenix just lose tonight so we can know the Stars are basically in it?
