Dan Rosen saying Zetterberg still day to day. Still hope he doesn't play, but because he doesn't want to risk anything, not because he can't.

Now with actual talks with the doctors the decision today was that Zetterberg is done. He needs to stay off the ice.

Oh and Quick gets the start against Russia. Not that he "won the game" for them yesterday but let him stay in it and see how he does.

these games literally mean nothing since all 12 teams advance past the group stage

get him some work while you can, just in case

They play back to back this weekend so maybe he gets in Sunday against Slovenia. Quick seems to be their guy so let him prove himself against a good team in Russia.

i'd be ok with that

honestly, i think the US handles russia easily unless the red army tightens things up in a hurry

with zetterberg going down, i think it's a 3 team race to the gold with Canada, USA, and Finland

but i'll probably be way off because it's me

Agree with you about Sweden, that's a big loss. I'll wait to see how Russia does against the US before I make a determination if they are one of my top ones. Agree about the other 3.

Sharp and Hamhuis out for Canada today. Duchene and Subban coming in, Bobby Lou is starting. Hoping to see a little more dominating offensive today. They've got a game under their feet and probably spent a lot of time looking at video for what the can/need to correct now. Would love to see Duchene play with the Toews/Nash combo at some point this afternoon (He's starting with Getzlaf/Perry).

I got to watch most of the game. They looked like they were toying with them most of the time. So much skill and talent.

One thing I did notice though: Rich Nash is not as dominating as I remember. He got beat up down low a couple of times. From when I used to watch him he would always use his big body to protect the puck absorb the hits. He did not do that this game.

When do they play again next?
