Re: The NHL Thread

Svechnikov cross checked Smith in the face to start the second period and got away with it. Weak move that the Rangers will remember.

That missed called basically resulted in the Canes evening the game up at 1. Awesome...

Crazy saves.

Hope to keep that pressure in the third. Next goal wins this game most likely.

That'll do it

Re: The NHL Thread

Rangers suck.

In more elaborate words, this match up was literally men versus boys. Canes made the Rangers look like a high school team playing pro players. We are a very long way off from being a legitimate playoff team.

-Kids need to grow up (and in some cases I mean actual size. We are too small).
-I hope this playoff experience shows them how hard they need to work to actually have a chance in hell of winning a playoff game
-Defense sucks
-Offense sucked in this series but I think if they were in mid-season form would have been better
-Not sure about our coaching staff in NY

Going to be a long and hard off-season waiting to watch hockey again. To be honest, I almost (and I mean almost) wish we were not even in the play-in playoffs. It feels like more of a tease to just have 4 games and then off-season again.

Hope is a horrible thing to cling to, but here are my hopes:
1) The Rangers got swept by the Devils in 2006 and it was painful, but it started a great decade of success
2) Maybe, just maybe the hockey gods will throw this team a bone and let us get that #1 pick

Congrats. Obviously I am disappointed and it will take some time for me to forgive the Canes, but I am sure I will eventually :lol

Lots of injuries it seems. Broken leg for Ennis from the looks of it. Ouch.

That you Sarah, that drove me nuts. Hurricane type winds knocked everything out here and I had no way of watching or even seeing the internet since noon Tuesday - missed everything. Even cells were down due to power losses and downed trees. Appreciate telling me the score via text (it just came today), that was kind. That said I did break down and just use a landline at my neighbors (mine is VOIP) to call the NHL to check scores because I had the number saved because of NHL.tv subscription! I was going nutty - not even a bar to go to since they are COVID closed to in hopes that had power - worse even the papers did not have the late game scores. Hoping the get my cable TV working soon, internet just went back up! :)

I had #87 first. So he’s a scrub and a plagiariser.

Both 12 seeds advance. This is exactly the kind of chaos I was hoping for.
