Hey, let's talk about your keeper situation there, Roose.

Cool to see Derek MacKenzie get the C in Florida. Love seeing those character guys get that recognition for their leadership and for showing that being the captain does not always =/= being the best player on the team.

Then change my keeper. I thought we determined the rules were stupid. I'll just keep Kucherov, Bergeron and Ghost.

Pulkkinen on waivers today. I wished he could have turned into something but was never able to find his niche with this team.

So most people forgot to do the keepers huh? Eh well, I didn't win last year so what do I care. I might just let the computer do it and see what happens.

I've been trying to find details, but none appear to have been released yet. Did it happen in the World Cup? I can't remember him taking any really gnarly hits.

No word on any hard bumps in practice or anything?

It's a damn shame he's befallen by one again.

I wonder if he has a low-hanging pipe or support beam in his house that he is always walking into like Tim Taylor.

Sullivan just said it happened in practice

The circumstances around this make me think it's not a serious one, but there's no way to really know.

:lol It's not a big deal. You just kept Ovie and he was on the list of players you can't keep. I'm mostly just messin' with you.

I hope not, but concussions are mercurial. I hope he misses as little time as possible, but it's hard to say for certain. He has been in world-beating form.

He should consult the almighty healing properties of Kenneth Bone.

Very strange that they won't say specifics. Makes you think he fell in the back playing soccer with other teammates or something dumb like that

Keep it in house? Did someone punch him? Slap him? Kick him? Did he slip and fall?

Yeah, it definitely seems like they are trying to keep someone from being a pariah. Maybe someone plunked him with the warrior helmet.

Phil doesn't care who you are; you try to take one of his dawgs, he's going to hit you in the head.

Yeah forgot to mention that earlier and figured someone would have said it. Red Wings Martin Frk who had one good year in the AHL got claimed....so he'll be claimed easily.

I know he's always been slightly overrated (believe me, I watched him closely for a couple years when he was with the Avs), but I was surprised to see a guy get waived after managing 20 goals last year for the worst team in the league.

Hope he can get back to the show eventually... he holds a special place in the heart of our family. :lol My son (the one who warned me about the clowns) is a huge PA fan after happening to see him score a pretty goal for COL like three years ago. The kid cares very little for hockey, but loves PA for just that reason, and pretty much that reason only. His favorite team is whatever team PA is on, so right now he's an Isles fan. Sal, you'd be proud. :lol

Re: The NHL Thread

Parenteau waiving was a bit of a surprise. He didn't have a good camp but was brought for his chemistry with JT and they played one preseason game together and not a lot of practice time together due to WC. Spots are tight because 3 our kids have looked really good and one of them was gonna take his spot next year. It looks like it may have moved up a year.

I always feel bad for the family. The was just an article in the paper last week about his wife and 2 kids have settled back into their new place/area they were gonna live and were excited to be back living on the Island. Now who knows what will happens if he is claimed. Sucks for them.
